Thriving Words

I will be continuing from where I stopped. The first post really generated a lot of questions, comments, some will be addressed here. I know we virtually have different background and so many beliefs we have come to hold unto and even cherish. So if something new   goes against our ‘norm’, beliefs, we tend to rebuff it. I pointed out with scriptures, that our real enemies aren’t humans, yes, they use human body but that doesn’t just mean that human is your enemy and hence if he/she dies, your problems is solved, it’s not the case.  Jesus cast out demons from people. Why, he knows the real enemy is the Devil.     The thief comes not but that he may steal , and kill, and destroy : I am come that they might have life, and might have [it] abundantly. John 10:10   1Peter 5:8 says Be sober, be vigilant; because your adversary the devil , as a roaring lion, walketh about, seeking whom he may devour. For we wrestle not against flesh and blood, but against principalities, against powers, against the rulers of the darkness of this world, against spiritual wickedness in high places. (Eph 6:12 ) I know some of us pray this "Enemy fall down and die" prayer. Got nothing against it but the truth the major fight ain't against a physical person but against spiritual force. Sure Devil will use a human being to get at you but he has millions of people to use, so are you will pray a million prayer points to kill them all. (I strongly doubt that). Your enemy might fall down and die (indeed) but the spiritual forces will simply look for another body to enter into and resume the tormenting. That is why most of us live our lives fighting and asking enemies to keep on dying. Have you ever ask yourself why they haven't die completely. Have You ever heard this words 'God gives and God takes" It commonly said at funeral ceremony. Its actually a verse quote from the book of Job Chapter 1 verse 21 ' And said, Naked came I out of my mother's womb, and naked shall I return thither: the LORD gave, and the LORD hath taken away; blessed be the name of the LORD I know some of has come to believe all that. But truly ask yourself, Does God gives and really take away? Will He gives you something and later takes it away? Don't get me wrong, Job attitude is really cool, He won't curse God, He will still praise Him in adversity. But Beyond that, If there was ever a scripture that has led to some screwy notions about God’s character, it’s this one. Anyone who has suffered loss has probably heard this verse.
