We realize that we could not even exist without the merciful blessings of God. We can have thankful hearts toward God even when we do not feel thankful for the circumstance. We can grieve and still be thankful. We can hurt and still be thankful. We can be angry at sin and still be thankful toward God. That is what the Bible calls a “sacrifice of praise” (Hebrews 13:15). Giving thanks to God keeps our hearts in right relationship with Him and saves us from a host of harmful emotions and attitudes that will rob us of the peace God wants us to experience (Philippians 4:6–7). #Thanksgiving Day 28 We thank God for our family, friends and loved ones.  We should be thankful for everything that we have including the friends we cherish and the family we love.  Family is the foundation. #Thanksgiving Day 27 Some have food but can not eat, some can eat but have no food. I have food and I can eat. Glory be to You oh Lord. The above words were what I grow up saying in school when it’s time to eat our lunch. We tend to take certain things for granted perhaps because we felt it’s our right or it’s something within our means and power. Throughout this year 2018 so far, I eat what I want to eat. That food that we find and eat easily, do you know people still died for malnourishment and hunger. There are folks that still go to bed hungry.  The fact that you have food to eat indicate that you have a reason to thank God for. Countries all over the world experience food shortages, famine and crops lose but despite it all, God provides for you and your household. #Thanksgiving Day 25 Thank God for His Son - His gift too wonderful for words ” (TLB) - 2 Corinthians 9:15 Today is a day where majority of Christians celebrate the birth of the Saviour, Jesus. Imagine Jesus Christ wasn’t born into this world; that He didn’t come. What do you think would have happen? We won’t be celebrating Christmas, instead, we would just be making sacrifices (burnt offering). One of the reason for this Thanksgiving Season is Jesus. We celebrate because He came into this world and came to save us from destruction. We should give thanks to God for sending His Only Begotten Son, Jesus.  Christmas is a time of thanksgiving. While we thank God firstly, we must also learn to say thank you to people who have been good, helpful and supportive to us.  Some people are simply vessels of God's love to you and indeed they deserve to be thanks.
