Thriving Words

It's been a while I have written. So many other projects have taken my time but I just think I need to come back here as I have folks asking me when am I going to write? Of a truth, I never stopped writing. I had always write. Its the end of the year 2019, we're entering a new decade, a new season, a new date, a new year. Years back, there is this much 'noise' about resolutions, what you planned to do in the new year. In recent times, the 'noise' had died down, i guess folks are tired of breaking their own resolutions. Nevertheless, we must always have goals, targets, objectives we want to achieve. The problem with resolutions is it kinda put you under pressure and the problem with no-resolutions is you tend not to have a specific duration or time frame to achieve your set goals. Many times, it seems what God said is not happening as we want. Though it may tarry, His words will never return unfulfilled. God does not play on words – He says what He means and means what He says. His words are yea and amen. In fact, heaven and earth can pass away, but His word cannot. You need to come to terms with the immutability of the word of God. When God says a thing, then He does not need you to bring it to pass. Even though it's shocking and very sad to hear of that, it shouldn't come to us as a surprise. No one really knows the particular cause but most experts point to long term depression. No one is exempted; Rich or poor, young or old, male or female, depression can happen to anyone. I took my cloth to the tailor and asked him to fix the little opening near the pocket. The man turned the cloth inside out and then began to TEAR the pocket with his hands... Hah! This week, I was reawaken to the fact that everybody wants a good life where their dreams can come through and true; even if that means they need to travel out of the country, they would. Most folks would want to live in Europe, America and other developed countries. Those places got good system and conducive environment to progress in. While folks do have valid and genuine reasons to travel abroad, they must also know that the grass isn’t always greener at the other side.  I discover that most people don’t even have a concrete plan, all they want to do is to just travel abroad. While there is nothing bad in traveling abroad, but at least have a plan on what to do. Don’t just travel and believe once you get there, you will fit in. And who says you can’t make it in your land. Solomon was wealthy. Joseph was wealthy. David was wealthy. Even Job was wealthy. We need to Unlearn this misconception we have about being Godcentric vs wanting money - that it's one or the other. Eg. "If I dedicate my life to doing God's work, it means I must be comfortable knowing that I won't be as wealthy as I could be if I did other things."
