No Longer Slave to Fear

The LORD is my light and my salvation; whom shall I fear? the LORD is the strength of my life; of whom shall I be afraid? - Psalm 27:1

We are what we choose to be.  David in this psalms talks about been fearless, been bold simply because he has God on his side. Our lives outside of God is only full of miseries, unending troubles without any ending in sight.

When we choose to be on God side, He illuminate every darkness in our lives, he practically saved us and strengthen us to live life.

David knows what it means for God to be his Light and salvation, he has tasted the wonders of God first hand and he knows that it's only in God, we are fearless.

When God is our light, we can't stumble, when God is our salvation, we are secured and safe. When God is our strength, we can not fall or fail.

The devil knows this which is why he is always constantly looking for ways to break off your relationship with God. He knows you can't survive outside God.

John boldly proclaim that 'rather is He that is in me than he that is in the world'. When you have God, what or whom is bold enough to scare you?

Those that knows their God shall do exploits. Exploits are not done in the place of fear, exploits are done in the place of strength, light and salvation.

Though you walked through the valley of the shadow of death, you have nothing to fear or worry about because God is with you, therefore, you have light to see the traps of the enemy and the strength to walk through it.

In God alone, our hope is found because He is our light, our strength and our salvation.  We are no longer slaves to fear because we have God on our side.

You have no reason to fear because the Lord is your Light, your salvation and your strength. Fear has no power over you.

Be courageous, be bold, be strong.

I want to stay oh Lord in your resting place Lead me away from things that keep me from you Separate me from the things Lord that hinders me. (3*) Verse 2 Oh Lord my heart is longing for your precious presence To receive Lord the light of your countenance So I can escape the darkness that covers the Earth So I can escape Lord the path of error (2*) Chorus I want to live oh Lord just right where you are. Made a Way: The Story Behind The Song

Made a way is a song written and sang by award winning artist Travis Greene in the year 2015. Many people knows the song but few actually know the story behind the song. The song was actually borne out of a personal testimony of Travis Greene. According to the artist, 'Made a Way' was written during an impossible situation. His pregnant wife’s water broke at 21 weeks, when pregnancy normally takes between 37-42 weeks. The doctors said the possibility of the baby’s survival is slim to none, and it was during this period when his wife was on bed rest for two months that he wrote the song. There was nothing else for them to hold on to but faith, and the good news is that as slim as the chance was, it didn’t break because faith held it together and today their baby boy is alive.  When Jesus was on His way to heal Jairus’s daughter and news came that things had gone from bad to worse, that the girl was dead. Jesus overheard and said, "Don't be upset. Just trust me

Lessons From the Sons of Sceva

....the evil spirit answered and said, Jesus I know, and Paul I know; but who are ye? - Acts 19:15 One funny incident that I read in the  Bible is about the seven sons of Sceva that attempted to use the Name of Jesus to cast out demons. The demons replied them that He knows Jesus and Paul, but who are they? They were given the beating of their life. (Acts 19:11-16) Were they wrong in using the Name of Jesus? No. But truth is they don't know nor understand that Name. They only want to use it selfishly just to get the results that Paul was getting. They thought it was a rocket science. Many at times we believers are like that; We live in sin , we disobey God and when we need something, we want to perform miracles, do signs and wonders in the Name of Jesus which we really belittle or don't value.  Someone once said during a plane turbulence, he saw unbelievers even shouting the name of Jesus. No wonder some folks suffered embarrassment like the sons of Sceva.  When
