End of the Year 2019

It's been a while I have written. So many other projects have taken my time but I just think I need to come back here as I have folks asking me when am I going to write? Of a truth, I never stopped writing. I had always write.

Its the end of the year 2019, we're entering a new decade, a new season, a new date, a new year. Years back, there is this much 'noise' about resolutions, what you planned to do in the new year. In recent times, the 'noise' had died down, i guess folks are tired of breaking their own resolutions.

Nevertheless, we must always have goals, targets, objectives we want to achieve. The problem with resolutions is it kinda put you under pressure and the problem with no-resolutions is you tend not to have a specific duration or time frame to achieve your set goals.

I did something for myself in the year 2019, I refuse to put myself under any pressure. I refuse to compare myself with anybody. Be better than me, i don't care, be greater than me, I'm cool with it. I just decide not to force myself to get results.

Don't get me wrong, I didn't say you shouldn't push through or you should become too relax. Not at all, all I'm trying to say is be yourself, run your race, set your standard but do not kill yourself because of it. It's okay to fail (I really failed in 2019), it's okay to fall down. What is not okay is for you to remain fallen.

Take stock of the year 2019, what are the lessons you learnt. What are your highs and lows. The past is our teacher, the present is the examinations and the future is the results of our exams. So Learn from the past and use it to live the present well, thereby you will be creating a better future for you.

I tried some new things in the year 2019, it's risky to take a risk. Life itself is a risk but it is more risky for you not to take a risk. The fear of the unknown, fear of uncertainty shouldn't stop us from trying new things. He who is afraid of launching out will never be great.

Always have more than one source of income, in 2019, one of the things I learnt is never rely on a source of income, have various source of income. One of the things that helped me was having another source of income. Being a salary earner, I knew early that the economic realities, expenses and my salary are not friendly, so i look out for what I could do that could bring in that extra cash. It really really helped.

Lastly, I remember almost not going to church last year for the cross over as I slept off due to a family crisis on the 31st of December, 2018. I eventually went though I was late and I enjoyed starting the year in God's presence.

You might not be a church person (or religious at all) but one thing I know is where you are starting the year at or what you are starting the year with matters a lot. What you don't want to do, don't do it or even go near it.

Be disciplined, be firm, be focused. Be specific.

Year 2020  is for you to conquer. Don't let 2019 be a wasted year, no matter how you might have fumbled, stand up and live your best in the year 2020.

Remember, don't put yourself under pressure

Happy New Year in Advance to you. May the year 2020 be fruitful to you, may lines fall in pleasant places for you, May you enjoyed the year 2020.

Made a Way: The Story Behind The Song

Made a way is a song written and sang by award winning artist Travis Greene in the year 2015. Many people knows the song but few actually know the story behind the song. The song was actually borne out of a personal testimony of Travis Greene. According to the artist, 'Made a Way' was written during an impossible situation. His pregnant wife’s water broke at 21 weeks, when pregnancy normally takes between 37-42 weeks. The doctors said the possibility of the baby’s survival is slim to none, and it was during this period when his wife was on bed rest for two months that he wrote the song. There was nothing else for them to hold on to but faith, and the good news is that as slim as the chance was, it didn’t break because faith held it together and today their baby boy is alive.  When Jesus was on His way to heal Jairus’s daughter and news came that things had gone from bad to worse, that the girl was dead. Jesus overheard and said, "Don't be upset. Just trust me...

Song Lyrics: Status is Changing

Pastor Andre Jones of the sacred Assembly, United States, wrote a song that has brought comfort to many through out the world Many artists has cover the song notably Vashawn Mitchell, Mario Ese & the Tribe of Benjamin. The lyrics for the song goes thus: "We're connected to this world through our senses By what's tangible and easy to comprehend  There are days when it seems We're going nowhere fast Trust your faith to show you the truth Give a listen to what faith says to you:  "Our status is changing, there's no more decline I'm on my way to better days. Our status is changing, there's no more decline I'm on my way to better days.  My status is changing, there's no more decline I'm on my way to better days  Better days are in You, Jesus... My better life is in You, Jesus... Life's changing is in You, Jesus... My success is in You, Jesus... All I have to do is to look to You... Better days are with You... My f...

Song: These Walls

You are good and do good;....  - Psalm 119:68  Few months back, I came across an inspiring song by Jason David who happens to be a pastor.  He was diagnosed with cancer. After a year-long fight with cancer that claimed much of his tongue, Pastor Jason David refuses to stop singing. "These Walls" is an original worship song he wrote that became his anthem as he fought through several surgeries, chemotherapy & radiation. For someone going through challenges; financial, health, marital, academic, whatever it may be, I pray this song will bless you - no matter what walls or mountains you may face, God is greater & God is good!  Below are the lyrics of the song: Verse: You are greater than these walls I'm circling  You are stronger than these army  I see You are bigger than these mountains that I faced And I will choose only to praise You. Pre - Chorus  This is my song, these is my dare To worship you even as thes...
