COVID-19: Should Church/Mosque be Reopened?


The past few months has been a challenging one for planet earth. The Covid-19 pandemic has been raging and has claimed so many lives. Economy of countries has been grounded, health system overstretched. The future remains unclear to many heads of state who are still grasping with the realities  of things as it unfolds. Religious centres (Church and Mosques) has been closed down and there have been a ban on gathering.

Recently US President, Donald Trump clamour for churches and mosques to be reopened. Ironically, clergy folks and imams kicked against President Trump request for religious centres to be opened. Ironically in Nigeria, a religious country in West Africa and the world most populous black country, it is the other way round. Religious leaders wants churches and mosques to be reopened while the government still feel it is unsafe and unwise to reopen them.

The bone of contention is do we think it is safe and wise for Churches and Mosques to re-opened considering the fact that the world has not fully recovered? Some countries like France, Italy, Tanzania have reopened their religious centres but under a strict laid-down rules and regulations.


I have always been a Christian and I so much believed in the power of God. I understand this time is an opportunity to showcase the power of God. That said, I might be heavenly conscious but I ever earthly present which means I am subject to the earthly rules and regulations.

Can we truly disregard health advise and gathered in our churches and mosques without not been at the risk of been infected by this deadly virus? And can it be so nice for us to go to our churches and mosques with our masks on, Will it be truly convenient for us to gather and hold service?

There are many questions than the available answers. Should we take risk in the name of God? Where do we draw the line between our  faith and risk? Where is the line between faith and facts. 

We must ask ourselves some questions: What is the rationale behind the reopening of churches and mosques? Why can't we hold out for a little longer? And if we are truly what we claimed to be, we could call on God for Him to take away this virus and allow us to gathered to worship Him. We also have fellowship groups (small number of people), a system that the Church can take advantage of..

I personally also missed the thrills of us gathering, singing, dancing and rejoicing. Nevertheless I still believe God is birthing something in us for this end time period and we got to be sensitive and not do things on our own accord.

Between Church/Mosques, Companies and Markets, which do you think should open first?

Its obvious we all know the answer...

Made a Way: The Story Behind The Song

Made a way is a song written and sang by award winning artist Travis Greene in the year 2015. Many people knows the song but few actually know the story behind the song. The song was actually borne out of a personal testimony of Travis Greene. According to the artist, 'Made a Way' was written during an impossible situation. Lessons From the Sons of Sceva

....the evil spirit answered and said, Jesus I know, and Paul I know; but who are ye? - Acts 19:15 One funny incident that I read in the  Bible is about the seven sons of Sceva that attempted to use the Name of Jesus to cast out demons.
