Isaiah 46: No One Like God

I take pride in you and I will save you – God (Isaiah 46:13)

Isaiah 46 talks about having alternatives or options to God. Folks don’t learn from the past. We heard and read stories of folks that depended on someone/something else other than God and at the end, they were left worst than where they were before.

The Isrealites have gone through a lot of trouble simply because of their addiction to idols worshipping. Sometime I wonder and ask myself why do people still follow satan despite the fact that he never offers anything good even though he promises good things? Why do people never learn to trust God fully?

I realize something: Devil will always promise you shortcuts and the fast lane. God on the other hand is a principle God whose aim is to fulfill His purpose on earth through us. God doesn’t force us, He doesn’t cajole, He allows us to make our own decisions. Therefore, we therefore reap the fruits of our actions, good or bad.

The Isrealites, though God favourites, were still constantly seeking alternatives. There is no alternative to God. God declared in Isaiah Chapter 46 that He alone is God in His own class, there is no God like Jehovah.

The good part is despite the fact that we always want our way like the prodigal son, God is ever ready and waiting to accept us back when we realize our mistakes and ready to turn a new leaf.

Though we are sinners, we are stubborn and foolish, God is ever ready to save us. He sent Jesus His Son into this world to die for us while we are yet sinners; that shows the eagerness of God to restore broken relationship with us.

The question is; Are we ready to learn to follow God and trust Him fully in every situation. We should be like the Isrealities that will come back and backslide again, that is dangerous.

As we read the bible daily, we must seek to grow in our dependence on God, we should have any options other than God. It might be difficult at times but it's the best thing we could ever do. Daniel trusted in God even in the lions den, The 3 Hebrew youths trusted in God even in the midst of the burning furnace. Samson despite that fact the he fumble and had been captured, he still trust God enough which is why he prayed for victory. Peter walked on water because he trusted Jesus but when fear set in, he begin to sink. Anytime we take our eyes (faith) off God, we will drown in the crisis of life.

The Love for you and I is overwhelming, all He require of us is to fully and wholly trust Him enough to guide us through

God takes pride in us and will save us

Verse 1 I want to  to live lord in the world of your Glory I want to live lord in the place where you are To stay away from the pressures & cares of this life. To stay away Lord from the ways of the world. (2*) Chorus I want to live oh Lord just right where you are. I want to stay oh Lord in your resting place Lead me away from things that keep me from you Separate me from the things Lord that hinders me. (3*) Verse 2 Oh Lord my heart is longing for your precious presence To receive Lord the light of your countenance So I can escape the darkness that covers the Earth So I can escape Lord the path of error (2*) Chorus I want to live oh Lord just right where you are. Made a Way: The Story Behind The Song

Made a way is a song written and sang by award winning artist Travis Greene in the year 2015. Many people knows the song but few actually know the story behind the song. The song was actually borne out of a personal testimony of Travis Greene. According to the artist, 'Made a Way' was written during an impossible situation. His pregnant wife’s water broke at 21 weeks, when pregnancy normally takes between 37-42 weeks. The doctors said the possibility of the baby’s survival is slim to none, and it was during this period when his wife was on bed rest for two months that he wrote the song. There was nothing else for them to hold on to but faith, and the good news is that as slim as the chance was, it didn’t break because faith held it together and today their baby boy is alive.  When Jesus was on His way to heal Jairus’s daughter and news came that things had gone from bad to worse, that the girl was dead. Jesus overheard and said, "Don't be upset. Just trust me

Lessons From the Sons of Sceva

....the evil spirit answered and said, Jesus I know, and Paul I know; but who are ye? - Acts 19:15 One funny incident that I read in the  Bible is about the seven sons of Sceva that attempted to use the Name of Jesus to cast out demons. The demons replied them that He knows Jesus and Paul, but who are they? They were given the beating of their life. (Acts 19:11-16) Were they wrong in using the Name of Jesus? No. But truth is they don't know nor understand that Name. They only want to use it selfishly just to get the results that Paul was getting. They thought it was a rocket science. Many at times we believers are like that; We live in sin , we disobey God and when we need something, we want to perform miracles, do signs and wonders in the Name of Jesus which we really belittle or don't value.  Someone once said during a plane turbulence, he saw unbelievers even shouting the name of Jesus. No wonder some folks suffered embarrassment like the sons of Sceva.  When
