Be of Good Cheers (Message For Nigeria)

These things I have spoken unto you, that in me ye might have peace. In the world ye shall have tribulation: but be of good cheer; I have overcome the world.

- John 16:33

Hello beloved, I bring you good tidings. I hope we all are holding up. It's been a tiring moments in our land. Personally I'm mentally drained as the wickedness of some of our leaders are been expose. God help us all.

Truth is the world has no solution for us. It's meant to be survival of the fittest which is why humans will engage in almost anything just to survive and remain on top. No peace for the wicked.

I want to encourage us that true peace comes from God. His word is an encouragement to anyone who is stressed, burnt, worn-out, spent and burdened. Jesus came to this world so that you and I can be overcome through Him.

We go through this difficult period but for us to stay sane, we have to stay in the word. This is the time for us to pray more, study His more more. This is not over yet.

Our blood will not be spilled because of this Land in Jesus name.

I encourage us to be wary of bad news, it's a strategy from the devil to distract us from focusing on God. Whatever things are true, godly, holy and good, think on them. Start to imagine about the good life God has for you. There is only peace in Jesus, outside Christ is crisis. Politics can't provide us with solutions, only God can.

In the meantime, do fill your hearts with the word of God. Avoid talking about bad things. Relax from social media if it's to overwhelming for you. Filter ever information you receive, discern them by the Spirit of God. Pray for our leaders, a wrong decision can spark a fire of war.

It is well with our nation. Nigeria will rise from this situations stronger and better. Our youths shall be sold out for God.

Shalom!

Music: I Want to Live (Download)

I have another favourite song from the stable of Dunamis Ministry led by Pastor Paul Eneche.  The song is titled I want to live where you are. The song blesses me so much and I am sure you will be blessed by it. Below is the song lyrics and also a link where you can download the song. Verse 1 I want to  to live lord in the world of your Glory I want to live lord in the place where you are To stay away from the pressures & cares of this life. To stay away Lord from the ways of the world. (2*) Chorus I want to live oh Lord just right where you are. I want to stay oh Lord in your resting place Lead me away from things that keep me from you Separate me from the things Lord that hinders me. (3*) Verse 2 Oh Lord my heart is longing for your precious presence To receive Lord the light of your countenance So I can escape the darkness that covers the Earth So I can escape Lord the path of error (2*) Chorus I want to live oh Lord just right where you are. I want to sta

Made a Way: The Story Behind The Song

Made a way is a song written and sang by award winning artist Travis Greene in the year 2015. Many people knows the song but few actually know the story behind the song. The song was actually borne out of a personal testimony of Travis Greene. According to the artist, 'Made a Way' was written during an impossible situation. His pregnant wife’s water broke at 21 weeks, when pregnancy normally takes between 37-42 weeks. The doctors said the possibility of the baby’s survival is slim to none, and it was during this period when his wife was on bed rest for two months that he wrote the song. There was nothing else for them to hold on to but faith, and the good news is that as slim as the chance was, it didn’t break because faith held it together and today their baby boy is alive.  When Jesus was on His way to heal Jairus’s daughter and news came that things had gone from bad to worse, that the girl was dead. Jesus overheard and said, "Don't be upset. Just trust me

Lessons From the Sons of Sceva

....the evil spirit answered and said, Jesus I know, and Paul I know; but who are ye? - Acts 19:15 One funny incident that I read in the  Bible is about the seven sons of Sceva that attempted to use the Name of Jesus to cast out demons. The demons replied them that He knows Jesus and Paul, but who are they? They were given the beating of their life. (Acts 19:11-16) Were they wrong in using the Name of Jesus? No. But truth is they don't know nor understand that Name. They only want to use it selfishly just to get the results that Paul was getting. They thought it was a rocket science. Many at times we believers are like that; We live in sin , we disobey God and when we need something, we want to perform miracles, do signs and wonders in the Name of Jesus which we really belittle or don't value.  Someone once said during a plane turbulence, he saw unbelievers even shouting the name of Jesus. No wonder some folks suffered embarrassment like the sons of Sceva.  When
