Happy New Year

Happy New Year!

It’s Official; We are in the year 2024! It's amazing how quickly time passes by. Memories of the previous New Year celebrations are still fresh in my mind.

I am pleased to announce my return to blogging after an absence of over a year. I apologize for my prolonged hiatus.

So yeah, it’s official; I’m Back! ðŸ˜Š

As per the norm, ThrivingWords offers you words filled with optimism. Life has its ups and downs for most individuals; during those down periods, we all require inspiring and hopeful words to motivate us to keep moving forward. This is why you're reading this post - do feel free to browse through our previous posts as there's always something suitable for everyone on this blog.

In 2023, I gained a deeper understanding of the concept of HOPE. What is your personal definition and significance of HOPE? Can you imagine how different your life would be without it?

HOPE serves as a motivator for many individuals. Conversely, feelings of hopelessness can cause individuals to consider suicide due to their inability to perceive any glimmer of HOPE.

You don't want this year to be one of hopelessness. To ensure a great year, it's crucial that you maintain an attitude of HOPE and positivity. Allow your sense of HOPE to motivate and sustain you throughout the tumultuous times ahead - being hopeful is absolutely essential!

Lacking HOPE can lead to depression, and the challenges of this year may become overwhelming in its absence.

In order to be knowledgeable about anything, it is imperative that you maintain a sense of hopefulness; I emphasize the importance of being HOPEFUL.

Certainly, life has a tendency to present us with various challenges. Things may not always unfold as planned and we might even experience setbacks along the way. However, it is crucial that we do not surrender our ambitions but remain optimistic instead. A pessimistic attitude implies defeat whereas hope represents vitality and resilience in the face of adversity - therefore giving up should never be an option!

As the new year begins, embrace it with a sense of renewal and remain optimistic about all things. Although you may not currently be in your desired circumstances, trust that everything will fall into place for your benefit. Keep hope alive!

The New Year brings happiness and hope to those who are hopeful.

Wishing you a wonderful and optimistic year ahead!

Music: I Want to Live (Download)

I have another favourite song from the stable of Dunamis Ministry led by Pastor Paul Eneche.  The song is titled I want to live where you are. The song blesses me so much and I am sure you will be blessed by it. Below is the song lyrics and also a link where you can download the song. Verse 1 I want to  to live lord in the world of your Glory I want to live lord in the place where you are To stay away from the pressures & cares of this life. To stay away Lord from the ways of the world. (2*) Chorus I want to live oh Lord just right where you are. I want to stay oh Lord in your resting place Lead me away from things that keep me from you Separate me from the things Lord that hinders me. (3*) Verse 2 Oh Lord my heart is longing for your precious presence To receive Lord the light of your countenance So I can escape the darkness that covers the Earth So I can escape Lord the path of error (2*) Chorus I want to live oh Lord just right where you are. I want to sta

Made a Way: The Story Behind The Song

Made a way is a song written and sang by award winning artist Travis Greene in the year 2015. Many people knows the song but few actually know the story behind the song. The song was actually borne out of a personal testimony of Travis Greene. According to the artist, 'Made a Way' was written during an impossible situation. His pregnant wife’s water broke at 21 weeks, when pregnancy normally takes between 37-42 weeks. The doctors said the possibility of the baby’s survival is slim to none, and it was during this period when his wife was on bed rest for two months that he wrote the song. There was nothing else for them to hold on to but faith, and the good news is that as slim as the chance was, it didn’t break because faith held it together and today their baby boy is alive.  When Jesus was on His way to heal Jairus’s daughter and news came that things had gone from bad to worse, that the girl was dead. Jesus overheard and said, "Don't be upset. Just trust me

Lessons From the Sons of Sceva

....the evil spirit answered and said, Jesus I know, and Paul I know; but who are ye? - Acts 19:15 One funny incident that I read in the  Bible is about the seven sons of Sceva that attempted to use the Name of Jesus to cast out demons. The demons replied them that He knows Jesus and Paul, but who are they? They were given the beating of their life. (Acts 19:11-16) Were they wrong in using the Name of Jesus? No. But truth is they don't know nor understand that Name. They only want to use it selfishly just to get the results that Paul was getting. They thought it was a rocket science. Many at times we believers are like that; We live in sin , we disobey God and when we need something, we want to perform miracles, do signs and wonders in the Name of Jesus which we really belittle or don't value.  Someone once said during a plane turbulence, he saw unbelievers even shouting the name of Jesus. No wonder some folks suffered embarrassment like the sons of Sceva.  When
