Democracy is the most favorable system of government. Democracy is the government of the people by the people and for the people. That means people are put into government by people through voting in a democratic system of government.
Question is: Is God a democratic God? Does He favour a democracy? Is democracy the best system of government?
This shouldn’t shock believers too much: God is not democratic in nature; though there might be elements of democracy in Him.
Of course God is not democratic; if he is, exactly how long is a heavenly term of office? When was the last election? Who gets to decide on the manifesto? Democracy is about people choosing leaders who will work for what we want.
Nick Cohen rightly said: All deeply held faith has the capacity to be anti-democratic, because it places the supposed laws of God against the real laws of free men and women.
Democracy is man made which is why though the best, it’s still not perfect. Yes there are structures and leadership in God’s system, they are not always democratic in nature as God always ORDAINED not VOTE people into office.
Democracy is the way of men. God is higher then men. Democracy is not perfect but God is perfect. Everything God does is good and perfect. Democracy will always have its shortcomings and disadvantages.
God never founded democracy, men founded democracy. Though there are some good (plenty of it) in democracy, God system of Government is just not democratic. Democracy adapts to the yearning of men. Democracy could means the popular wins but in God’s system, minority could be the chosen one.
The ways of men (democracy) are always not the way of God. Democracy is great, but the believers are called to practice something better.
