And he called unto him the twelve, and began to send them forth by two and two; and gave them power over unclean spirits; - Mark 6:7
During his brief time on this earth, there are so many things to learn from the live of our Lord and Saviour Jesus.
Jesus method was discipleship. He trained them and send them forth even while on earth, He has been sending them forth. We can learn a lot from Jesus' approach as a leader to delegation of ministry in Mark 6:7-13. His method was to train the disciples and delegate responsibilities to them.
Jesus didn't limit Himself, He delegate to His disciples and reposition to build a strong and successful team of Ordinary Folks that are able to thrive in their ministerial calling.
Of course consider the people that you are delegating to. Jesus choose his disciples carefully knowing fully well their strength and weakness.
At first there will be a learning curve, but once your team is on board with your vision and the right tasks are assigned to the correct skill set, your business/work/success has the opportunity to grow immensely, and you will be able to see and enjoy the progress. Peter was able to be transform from a timid and irrational man to a man of boldness and sound mind.
One major lesson to learn from Jesus concerning Delegation is to equip your delegates with the right tools they need carrying out their delegated functions.
Jesus before leaving the earth delegated perhaps the greatest responsibility to believers and he gave everyone the Comforter (Holy Spirit) as our help in carrying out the function effectively and efficiently.
In summary, We’ve come to realize that going it alone is not only hindering our growth, but harming our overall lives. Delegation is a major key for a leader to thrive in his/her calling.
Good Morning and do have a beautiful Saturday...
