Power of Delegation

Moreover thou shalt provide out of all the people able men, such as fear God, men of truth, hating covetousness; and place such over them, to be rulers of thousands, and rulers of hundreds, rulers of fifties, and rulers of tens:
22 And let them judge the people at all seasons: and it shall be, that every great matter they shall bring unto thee, but every small matter they shall judge: so shall it be easier for thyself, and they shall bear the burden with thee. - Exodus 18:21-22

In Exodus 18:13-26, the Bible tells us about the work Moeses is doing, judging the people, teaching them the ordinances of God. He does this from day to night. Of course like every other human, he becomes so tired and worn out. Jethro, his father in law advised me to delegate some of this responsibilities to other people who are worthy to judge. Only great issues that require his attention should be brought to him. Guess what? It works. Moses was able to free up time to do other important things as well. What he simply did is what is called Delegation.

Every leader must understand the power of delegation, it's importance and efficiency.  Delegating responsibilities gives you the opportunity to rest your mind and let others free up your time.

As a business man/woman, When you acknowledge that you need help, allowing others into your business realm can help you propel your business forward with a clear direction. There is no shame in recognizing and asking for assistance, in fact, it could be essential to your business.

Delegation allows you to focus, pinpoint tasks that you love, pass off necessary tasks that are time consuming and allows for others to showcase their talents on your behalf.

Church leaders, Leaders in governance, managers in the cooperate world must learn how to delegate. Thank God for the advice of Jethro, Moses could have wasted his life judging and teaching the people only all the rest of his life.

Don’t limit yourself, delegate your work and reposition yourself to quickly build a strong and successful team of people that are able to meet the demands of your business.

We continue tommorrow on the Power of Delegation.

Top of the morning to you and do have a glorious Wednesday.

Made a Way: The Story Behind The Song

Made a way is a song written and sang by award winning artist Travis Greene in the year 2015. Many people knows the song but few actually know the story behind the song. The song was actually borne out of a personal testimony of Travis Greene. According to the artist, 'Made a Way' was written during an impossible situation. His pregnant wife’s water broke at 21 weeks, when pregnancy normally takes between 37-42 weeks. The doctors said the possibility of the baby’s survival is slim to none, and it was during this period when his wife was on bed rest for two months that he wrote the song. There was nothing else for them to hold on to but faith, and the good news is that as slim as the chance was, it didn’t break because faith held it together and today their baby boy is alive.  When Jesus was on His way to heal Jairus’s daughter and news came that things had gone from bad to worse, that the girl was dead. Jesus overheard and said, "Don't be upset. Just trust me...
