Unsolicited Giving: Giving Without Been Asked To

You Philippians well know, and you can be sure I’ll never forget it, that when I first left Macedonia province, venturing out with the Message, not one church helped out in the give-and-take of this work except you. You were the only one. Even while I was in Thessalonica, you helped out—and not only once, but twice. Not that I’m looking for handouts, but I do want you to experience the blessing that issues from generosity.

And now I have it all—and keep getting more! The gifts you sent with Epaphroditus were more than enough, like a sweet-smelling sacrifice roasting on the altar, filling the air with fragrance, pleasing God to no end. You can be sure that God will take care of everything you need, his generosity exceeding even yours in the glory that pours from Jesus. Our God and Father abounds in glory that just pours out into eternity. Yes.”
Philippians 4:15-20 MSG

In his final chapter of his epistle to the church in Philippa, Paul acknowledge the consistent giving from the body of Christ in Philippa:

They have bountifully without even be asked to. These days, until pastors have to asked for offering, church folks don’t and won’t usually give. Giving to the work of God is not something we should wait for the pastor to tell us to do. It should be our lifestyle. We should have that as our culture. We give not because we were asked to but because we want to.

These days, many church folks do proclaim the prayers Apostle Paul prayer for the Church in Philippa: My God Shall Supply All My Needs.... - Philippians 4:19

They proclaim that prayer without not knowing the story behind or what led to Apostle Paul to pray for them.

Jesus said it’s more blessed to give than to receive. If you have not been supporting the work of God in your local church or you are the type that wait until your lead pastor tells you to give, you’ve got to change.

Until we learn to give without looking back, give because you want to support the gospel and not because of any eye service, we might not be eligible to be recipient of the kind of prayers Apostle Paul prayed for the Church in Philippians.

Nobody asked King Solomon to give a thousand burnt offering but he did and we know the rewards.

When you Give without been asked to, God is pleased.

Won’t you rather be like the church folks in Phillips?

It’s a beautiful Monday morning, a wonderful day. Today shall be a good day for you, this week shall be a great week for you.

Good morning to you and do enjoy your day and week.

Made a Way: The Story Behind The Song

Made a way is a song written and sang by award winning artist Travis Greene in the year 2015. Many people knows the song but few actually know the story behind the song. The song was actually borne out of a personal testimony of Travis Greene. According to the artist, 'Made a Way' was written during an impossible situation. His pregnant wife’s water broke at 21 weeks, when pregnancy normally takes between 37-42 weeks. The doctors said the possibility of the baby’s survival is slim to none, and it was during this period when his wife was on bed rest for two months that he wrote the song. There was nothing else for them to hold on to but faith, and the good news is that as slim as the chance was, it didn’t break because faith held it together and today their baby boy is alive.  When Jesus was on His way to heal Jairus’s daughter and news came that things had gone from bad to worse, that the girl was dead. Jesus overheard and said, "Don't be upset. Just trust me...

Our status is changing, there's no more decline I'm on my way to better days.  My status is changing, there's no more decline I'm on my way to better days  Better days are in You, Jesus... Song: These Walls

You are good and do good;....  - Psalm 119:68  Few months back, I came across an inspiring song by Jason David who happens to be a pastor.  He was diagnosed with cancer. After a year-long fight with cancer that claimed much of his tongue, Pastor Jason David refuses to stop singing. "These Walls" is an original worship song he wrote that became his anthem as he fought through several surgeries, chemotherapy & radiation. For someone going through challenges; financial, health, marital, academic, whatever it may be, I pray this song will bless you - no matter what walls or mountains you may face, God is greater & God is good!  Below are the lyrics of the song: Verse: You are greater than these walls I'm circling  You are stronger than these army  I see You are bigger than these mountains that I faced And I will choose only to praise You. Pre - Chorus  This is my song, these is my dare To worship you even as thes...
