Yes and Amen

For all the promises of God in him  are  yea, and in him Amen, unto the glory of God by us. - 2 Corinthians 1:20 The words of God are yea and amen. Everything God says will come to pass; Everything. Many times, it seems what God said is not happening as we want. Though it may tarry, His words will never return unfulfilled. God does not play on words – He says what He means and means what He says. His words are yea and amen. In fact, heaven and earth can pass away, but His word cannot. You need to come to terms with the immutability of the word of God. When God says a thing, then He does not need you to bring it to pass. His word has enough power to come to pass.  Think about it: is there any word of Jesus that did not come to pass? When He rebuked the wind, it obeyed. When He spoke to the sea, it stopped. When He spoke to the dead, they came alive. When He spoke to the sick, irrespective of the sickness, they got healed. When the tax collectors came, His w...

MOGs - Men of God

He that is without sin among you, let him first cast a stone at her. - John 8:7 Recently in Nigeria, there have been some rape allegations against a popular pastor (man of God) and few others. Even though it's shocking and very sad to hear of that, it shouldn't come to us as a surprise. Supporters and opposition folks have been throwing banter s at each another on the social media, it really go to show the depth of believers we have today. While I don't know neither have I confirm if the allegations are true or not , there are some things we should know as believers: 1. No Human is beyond redemption and no human is infallible. The way some of us hold men and women of God (commendable though) is really high, we see them as demi-god and we have unconscious come to accept the fact that they infalliable. Know this, a pastor is firstly a human. Elisha was a man of God yet he killed little children. Samson was anointed yet he was adulterous. David was a...

No Longer Slave to Fear

The LORD is my light and my salvation; whom shall I fear? the LORD is the strength of my life; of whom shall I be afraid? - Psalm 27:1  We are what we choose to be.  David in this psalms talks about been fearless, been bold simply because he has God on his side. Our lives outside of God is only full of miseries, unending troubles without any ending in sight.  When we choose to be on God side, He illuminate every darkness in our lives, he practically saved us and strengthen us to live life. David knows what it means for God to be his Light and salvation, he has tasted the wonders of God first hand and he knows that it's only in God, we are fearless.  When God is our light, we can't stumble, when God is our salvation, we are secured and safe. When God is our strength, we can not fall or fail.  The devil knows this which is why he is always constantly looking for ways to break off your relationship with ...

Tell the righteous it will be well with them, for they will enjoy the fruit of their deeds. - Isaiah 3:10 We are living in the end times, a perilous time where all kind of things begins to happen. It's always a dangerous time. Wickedness is in abundance. Calamities, disasters happening everywhere. Economies of countries are not been spared. It's a terrifying time indeed but not to the righteous. The righteous are those that enjoy abundance in times of scarcity, they have Joy in sorrowful times. The righteous have peace in times of trouble. Are you righteous? Righteousness is not just about fasting for some days or going to programs everywhere. Righteousness is not about not drinking, smoking. Righteousness simply means right standing with God. It will be wel...

No one really knows the particular cause but most experts point to long term depression. No one is exempted; Rich or poor, young or old, male or female, depression can happen to anyone. Being depressed is one thing, if left unattended to, it could lead to sickness or even suicide.  Someone could be happy on the inside yet he/she is been seriously depressed on the inside. Suicide is not an option. When there is Life, there is Hope. There is never a state of hopelessness that God can’t overturn for your benefits.  Folks don’t just commit suicide, it start by suicidal thoughts coming into your mind. Let us not become weary of doing good - Galatians 6:9  Paul in his end comments to the Galatians encouraged them to continue doing great. There is this well known proverb that says 'what goes around comes around'.  In this present reality where the hearts of men are evil, goodness is hard to find. Individuals thinks that its troublesome nowadays to do good; some out of severe encounters, some out of dread, some out of numbness.  It is a good idea to do good. We are to be good individuals since God is good to us as well as to everyone.  Doing good has its own prizes, we will dependably receive the benefit of doing good at the opportune time.  We shouldn't segregate who we do good to.
