Be Perfect

Be Ye Perfect Just as your Father in Heaven is Perfect - Matthew 5:48

 Jesus towards the end of His famous sermon on Mount Sinai explained to His disciples the need for them to be pefect according to God perfection. The religious leaders of their time do claim to be perfect and they do tell people to be perfect like them. Nowadays, we are having the same model where some preachers will want their followers to be like them.

We are to look unto Jesus the author and the finisher of our Faith (Hebrews 12:2). There is no perfection without God. God is the only standard for perfection.

The perfection Jesus was talking about in Matthew 5 is not about not making mistakes. It is about doing the right things right. Perfection is doing things rightly. A perfect man will love unconditionally A perfect man will forgive regardless. A perfect man will do what God says. A perfect man will do the right things rightly.


Our only model for perfection is God and not our preachers or 'father-in-theLord'. Yes, we can have those as mentors but when it comes to model for perfection, it is God. It is only God that is perfect, so everyone that wants to be perfect have to follow God.



I say to you this day: "Be a perfect man, a perfect woman just as your heavenly Father is perfect".

Made a Way: The Story Behind The Song

Made a way is a song written and sang by award winning artist Travis Greene in the year 2015. Many people knows the song but few actually know the story behind the song. The song was actually borne out of a personal testimony of Travis Greene. According to the artist, 'Made a Way' was written during an impossible situation. His pregnant wife’s water broke at 21 weeks, when pregnancy normally takes between 37-42 weeks. The doctors said the possibility of the baby’s survival is slim to none, and it was during this period when his wife was on bed rest for two months that he wrote the song. Lessons From the Sons of Sceva

....the evil spirit answered and said, Jesus I know, and Paul I know; but who are ye? - Acts 19:15 One funny incident that I read in the  Bible is about the seven sons of Sceva that attempted to use the Name of Jesus to cast out demons. The demons replied them that He knows Jesus and Paul, but who are they? They were given the beating of their life. (Acts 19:11-16) Were they wrong in using the Name of Jesus? No. But truth is they don't know nor understand that Name. They only want to use it selfishly just to get the results that Paul was getting. They thought it was a rocket science.
