Not By Power....

He will keep the feet of his saints, and the wicked shall be silent in darkness; for by strength shall no man prevail.  - 1 Samuel 2:9

The above verse is part of a song lyrics sang by Hannah after God has answered her prayer by giving her a child (Samuel) after years of barrenness and mockery.

Hannah's heart rejoiced, not in Samuel, but in the Lord. She looks beyond the gift, and praises the Giver. She testify that it pays to serve God because God will surely keep the feet of His saints that is God will direct us through the right path.

One important sentence in that verse is by strength shall no man prevail. Hannah knows it's not by her power or strength that Samuel would have been born. Only God could have done it.

Most times, we struggle and work hard to succeed in life; truth is it is not by our might that we breakthrough, Only God could have done this. God told Zerrubabel in Zechariah 4:6 that 'it is not by power nor by might but by My Spirit'.
When you realize that you can't depend on your human strength and and no man can sustain himself in the manifold conflict of life without help from above, your breakthrough is in sight.

Today, have that mindset that though you are hard working, it is not you but God that helps a man breakthrough.

It's the start of a new week; my prayers for you is that as Hanna sang a new song, you too will sing a new song, Hannah breakthrough, so also will you. The God of Hannah will help you and crown your efforts with success.

Remember it not by your strength but of God that you can prevail.

Good Morning and a Happy Sunday to You.

To stay away Lord from the ways of the world. (2*) Chorus I want to live oh Lord just right where you are. I want to stay oh Lord in your resting place Lead me away from things that keep me from you Separate me from the things Lord that hinders me. (3*) Verse 2 Oh Lord my heart is longing for your precious presence To receive Lord the light of your countenance So I can escape the darkness that covers the Earth So I can escape Lord the path of error (2*) Chorus I want to live oh Lord just right where you are. Made a Way: The Story Behind The Song

Made a way is a song written and sang by award winning artist Travis Greene in the year 2015. Many people knows the song but few actually know the story behind the song. The song was actually borne out of a personal testimony of Travis Greene. According to the artist, 'Made a Way' was written during an impossible situation. His pregnant wife’s water broke at 21 weeks, when pregnancy normally takes between 37-42 weeks. The doctors said the possibility of the baby’s survival is slim to none, and it was during this period when his wife was on bed rest for two months that he wrote the song. There was nothing else for them to hold on to but faith, and the good news is that as slim as the chance was, it didn’t break because faith held it together and today their baby boy is alive.  When Jesus was on His way to heal Jairus’s daughter and news came that things had gone from bad to worse, that the girl was dead. Jesus overheard and said, "Don't be upset. Just trust me

Lessons From the Sons of Sceva

....the evil spirit answered and said, Jesus I know, and Paul I know; but who are ye? - Acts 19:15 One funny incident that I read in the  Bible is about the seven sons of Sceva that attempted to use the Name of Jesus to cast out demons. The demons replied them that He knows Jesus and Paul, but who are they? They were given the beating of their life. (Acts 19:11-16) Were they wrong in using the Name of Jesus? No. But truth is they don't know nor understand that Name. They only want to use it selfishly just to get the results that Paul was getting. They thought it was a rocket science. Many at times we believers are like that; We live in sin , we disobey God and when we need something, we want to perform miracles, do signs and wonders in the Name of Jesus which we really belittle or don't value.  Someone once said during a plane turbulence, he saw unbelievers even shouting the name of Jesus. No wonder some folks suffered embarrassment like the sons of Sceva.  When
