Boom and Recession

Let Pharaoh do this, and let him appoint officers over the land, and take up the fifth part of the land of Egypt in the seven plenteous years.
And let them gather all the food of those good years that come, and lay up corn under the hand of Pharaoh, and let them keep food in the cities. - Gen 41: 34-3

It's a common knowledge that the United States have reserves of Grain, Saudi Arabia has reserves of oil, Russia has reserve of gas, China holds trillions of dollar in US treasury bills, Brazil who were an importer of rice are now exporter of rice because they have reserves and many more examples.

There is time for everything. Time of boom, time of recession, time of abundance, time of scarcity. Pharaoh dream was exactly about that. And there was a solution to that, save in times of abundance, so that you can have in times of scarcity.
In African, we hardly have reserve, Nigeria has reserve in dollars which keep going up and down due to the fluctuation in oil price.

I have heard a story of a top management banker who lost his lucrative job after over 10yrs and he had no savings.

In our country, state, town, municipal, family, church, when we are in times of abundance, we are to save for the 'rainy' day.

God created the earth in such manners that seed and harvest time exist, so when you harvest, you have to save the seed so has to sow more.

Don't eat all your harvest at a go, don't blow all your money at a goal.. plan your expenses well enough because scarcity and abundance will always exist. Invest your money...

He who fail to plan has plan to fail. Egypt came out of the recession successful because of proper planning. Practical solutions to economic problems can be found on the pages of the Bible.

I t's another day to plan... it's Thursday, take out time to plan your resources.

Good Morning and do have a wonderful thursday... =)

Music: I Want to Live (Download)

I have another favourite song from the stable of Dunamis Ministry led by Pastor Paul Eneche.  The song is titled I want to live where you are. The song blesses me so much and I am sure you will be blessed by it. Below is the song lyrics and also a link where you can download the song. Verse 1 I want to  to live lord in the world of your Glory I want to live lord in the place where you are To stay away from the pressures & cares of this life. To stay away Lord from the ways of the world. (2*) Chorus I want to live oh Lord just right where you are. I want to stay oh Lord in your resting place Lead me away from things that keep me from you Separate me from the things Lord that hinders me. (3*) Verse 2 Oh Lord my heart is longing for your precious presence To receive Lord the light of your countenance So I can escape the darkness that covers the Earth So I can escape Lord the path of error (2*) Chorus I want to live oh Lord just right where you are. I want to sta

Made a Way: The Story Behind The Song

Made a way is a song written and sang by award winning artist Travis Greene in the year 2015. Many people knows the song but few actually know the story behind the song. The song was actually borne out of a personal testimony of Travis Greene. According to the artist, 'Made a Way' was written during an impossible situation. His pregnant wife’s water broke at 21 weeks, when pregnancy normally takes between 37-42 weeks. The doctors said the possibility of the baby’s survival is slim to none, and it was during this period when his wife was on bed rest for two months that he wrote the song. There was nothing else for them to hold on to but faith, and the good news is that as slim as the chance was, it didn’t break because faith held it together and today their baby boy is alive.  When Jesus was on His way to heal Jairus’s daughter and news came that things had gone from bad to worse, that the girl was dead. Jesus overheard and said, "Don't be upset. Just trust me

Lessons From the Sons of Sceva

....the evil spirit answered and said, Jesus I know, and Paul I know; but who are ye? - Acts 19:15 One funny incident that I read in the  Bible is about the seven sons of Sceva that attempted to use the Name of Jesus to cast out demons. The demons replied them that He knows Jesus and Paul, but who are they? They were given the beating of their life. (Acts 19:11-16) Were they wrong in using the Name of Jesus? No. But truth is they don't know nor understand that Name. They only want to use it selfishly just to get the results that Paul was getting. They thought it was a rocket science. Many at times we believers are like that; We live in sin , we disobey God and when we need something, we want to perform miracles, do signs and wonders in the Name of Jesus which we really belittle or don't value.  Someone once said during a plane turbulence, he saw unbelievers even shouting the name of Jesus. No wonder some folks suffered embarrassment like the sons of Sceva.  When
