First Love

Nevertheless I have somewhat against thee, because thou hast left thy first love. - Rev 2:4

Do you remember when you first fell in Love with your guy/girl? It was awesome, it was a feeling beyond what words can explained. Do you also remember the first time you fell in Love with God? There was this zeal, this hunger and thirst for Him. To know Him more.

Now check over time, how has that love be. You do take her out, watch her movies at cinema but now she is married to you and you no longer take her out. Then you do dress beautiful just for him but now you are mother of many children. You don't have his time anymore.

Love is a doing thing. It is continuous. If you see love as a one time thing, you will get bored and want to try something new, fresh.

The same things for God too... the way you serve God now is notably low to then when you first know Him.

There are many reasons for the decline of  Love for God and your spouse.

But whatever reasons it is. It is dangerous to forget your First Love (The way You started loving). Do you feel bored serving God? Are you tired of your wife/husband/fiancé/fiancée.

From tomorrow, we will be looking at how to re-awake our first love for God and in our marriage/relationship.

It's a lovely day,  a day that God has made. Rejoice and be glad in it.

Made a Way: The Story Behind The Song

Made a way is a song written and sang by award winning artist Travis Greene in the year 2015. Many people knows the song but few actually know the story behind the song. The song was actually borne out of a personal testimony of Travis Greene. According to the artist, 'Made a Way' was written during an impossible situation. His pregnant wife’s water broke at 21 weeks, when pregnancy normally takes between 37-42 weeks. The doctors said the possibility of the baby’s survival is slim to none, and it was during this period when his wife was on bed rest for two months that he wrote the song. There was nothing else for them to hold on to but faith, and the good news is that as slim as the chance was, it didn’t break because faith held it together and today their baby boy is alive.  When Jesus was on His way to heal Jairus’s daughter and news came that things had gone from bad to worse, that the girl was dead. Lessons From the Sons of Sceva

....the evil spirit answered and said, Jesus I know, and Paul I know; but who are ye? - Acts 19:15 One funny incident that I read in the  Bible is about the seven sons of Sceva that attempted to use the Name of Jesus to cast out demons. The demons replied them that He knows Jesus and Paul, but who are they? They were given the beating of their life. (Acts 19:11-16) Were they wrong in using the Name of Jesus? No. But truth is they don't know nor understand that Name. They only want to use it selfishly just to get the results that Paul was getting. They thought it was a rocket science. Many at times we believers are like that; We live in sin , we disobey God and when we need something, we want to perform miracles, do signs and wonders in the Name of Jesus which we really belittle or don't value.  Someone once said during a plane turbulence, he saw unbelievers even shouting the name of Jesus.
