Forgiveness!!! - Part 6

Be kind and compassionate to one another, forgiving each other, just as in Christ God forgave you.
  - Ephesians 4:32

Years back, I was duped by someone I knew very well. Though I have forgiven him, anytime I remember him or the incident, I feel somehow bad.
You might be wondering that since I have forgiven that guy, why do I feel bad?

Forgiveness does not mean forgetting. It's normal for memories to be triggered in the future. When thoughts of past hurts occur, it's what we do with them that counts. When we find ourselves focusing on a past offense, we can learn to say, "Thank you, God, for this reminder of how important forgiveness is."

Forgiveness starts with a mental decision. The emotional part of forgiveness is finally being able to let go of the resentment. Emotional healing may or may not follow quickly after we forgive.

Forgiveness is not an event but a process, some are quick, some are long but whatever it is, please do forgive, tomorrow I will be ending this Forgiveness Series with a true life story, don't miss it. Past posts on this series could be read on www.thrivingwords.blogspot.com

I have talked so much on forgiveness because I have found out that many believers still struggle with it, there are so many unforgiving hearts keep malice. A unforgiving heart lead to many things.

Imagine all the wrongs you have done in this life, God forgave you simply because He loves you. We do not deserve God's forgiveness but yet He forgave us. So how much more our fellow humans. Some people have hurt us and we just want to take vengeance and retaliate back but that is not what God want. Let it go, let God fight for you.

He abandoned you and the kids, she left you when you had no money. Maybe your dad didn't care for you while growing up. Oh he slept with your best friend or perhaps they push you to fall into a trap at work. Whatever it might be, no matter how long it has be, please forgive. Yes it might not be an easy thing but just pray over it and find that peace that comes from forgiving.

I pray for you that an unforgiving spirit wouldn't have a hold in your life. God will give you the grace, strength to let go of that pain & hurt. The love of God will embrace you throughout the forgiveness process. You will experience the peace of God as you make up your mind to forgive in Jesus Name.

Do not miss tomorrow concluding post. It's a true life story on forgiveness.

Good Morning beloved, do have a lovely weekend

Music: I Want to Live (Download)

I have another favourite song from the stable of Dunamis Ministry led by Pastor Paul Eneche.  The song is titled I want to live where you are. The song blesses me so much and I am sure you will be blessed by it. Below is the song lyrics and also a link where you can download the song. Verse 1 I want to  to live lord in the world of your Glory I want to live lord in the place where you are To stay away from the pressures & cares of this life. To stay away Lord from the ways of the world. (2*) Chorus I want to live oh Lord just right where you are. I want to stay oh Lord in your resting place Lead me away from things that keep me from you Separate me from the things Lord that hinders me. (3*) Verse 2 Oh Lord my heart is longing for your precious presence To receive Lord the light of your countenance So I can escape the darkness that covers the Earth So I can escape Lord the path of error (2*) Chorus I want to live oh Lord just right where you are. Made a Way: The Story Behind The Song

Made a way is a song written and sang by award winning artist Travis Greene in the year 2015. Many people knows the song but few actually know the story behind the song. The song was actually borne out of a personal testimony of Travis Greene. According to the artist, 'Made a Way' was written during an impossible situation. His pregnant wife’s water broke at 21 weeks, when pregnancy normally takes between 37-42 weeks. The doctors said the possibility of the baby’s survival is slim to none, and it was during this period when his wife was on bed rest for two months that he wrote the song. There was nothing else for them to hold on to but faith, and the good news is that as slim as the chance was, it didn’t break because faith held it together and today their baby boy is alive.  When Jesus was on His way to heal Jairus’s daughter and news came that things had gone from bad to worse, that the girl was dead. Jesus overheard and said, "Don't be upset. Just trust me

Lessons From the Sons of Sceva

....the evil spirit answered and said, Jesus I know, and Paul I know; but who are ye? - Acts 19:15 One funny incident that I read in the  Bible is about the seven sons of Sceva that attempted to use the Name of Jesus to cast out demons. The demons replied them that He knows Jesus and Paul, but who are they? They were given the beating of their life. (Acts 19:11-16) Were they wrong in using the Name of Jesus? No. But truth is they don't know nor understand that Name. They only want to use it selfishly just to get the results that Paul was getting. They thought it was a rocket science. Many at times we believers are like that; We live in sin , we disobey God and when we need something, we want to perform miracles, do signs and wonders in the Name of Jesus which we really belittle or don't value.  Someone once said during a plane turbulence, he saw unbelievers even shouting the name of Jesus. No wonder some folks suffered embarrassment like the sons of Sceva.  When
