Why Do Bad Things Happen to Good People? Part 3

These things I have spoken unto you, that in me ye might have peace. In the world ye shall have tribulation: but be of good cheer; I have overcome the world.
        - Matthew 16:33

I got so many responses on the post yesterday and Is glaring that so many folks can't still grasp why bad things happen when we have a 'too-good' God.

I will like you to know and note the following:

Firstly Because God knows about a thing doesn't necessarily mean He caused it to happen.

Secondly, God allow Job to be tested but He didn't test Him, the devil did. God doesn't test with evil.

Thirdly, you don't need to attack the devil before he attacks you. He is always and constantly looking for whom to steal from, kill and destroy. That is his mission and honestly he is doing just that.

Fourthly, we (the believers) are not of this world but as long as you are alive, you are in this world.

Fifthly, being a Christian or believer doesn't mean you are  immune to pain/suffering.

Sixthly, No matter what happen in this world (good or bad). God remains the good God. Don't ever doubt God being God.

Seventhly, the opposite of good is bad, the opposite of victory is defeat. The opposite of God is God. Devil is never and can never be God equal. We unconsciously and unknowingly believe and put devil as second to God. Devil was once an angel. That is his highest rank ever. We see God as good and Devil as bad and thus automatically making him the opposite of God. To say that God and Satan are opposites is to say that they are equal forces going against one another.

Eighthly, the term 'Long Suffering' in the Bible doesn't necessarily mean you have to  suffer for a long time, it's a synonym for Endurance or Patience.

Ninthly, When bad things happens to you, it is okay to grieve, it's okay to mourn, it's okay to cry but it's never okay to start blaming God for your misfortune.

Tenthly, shocking but true, God is not in control of this world, the devil is the god of this world. Until that day when he is finally cast away forever, bad things will happen, infact much more in this end-time. Yes God is in charge of everything but HE doesn't use control, he gave mankind to rule the world which was lost to Satan at the garden of Eden. This is not to say that the devil rules the world completely; God is still sovereign. But it does mean that God, in His infinite wisdom, has allowed Satan to operate in this world within the boundaries God has set for him.

But Jesus told us all this and said we should be of God cheers because He has overcome the world. We might not be able to always stop bad things from happening to good people but we can give people the good news which is Jesus. Jesus is the only peace you can have in this bad and troubled world. Anything else ain't true peace.

I pray for you that you will conquer every battles you are facing in life in Jesus Name.

Good Morning and do enjoy your weekend.

Music: I Want to Live (Download)

I have another favourite song from the stable of Dunamis Ministry led by Pastor Paul Eneche.  The song is titled I want to live where you are. The song blesses me so much and I am sure you will be blessed by it. Below is the song lyrics and also a link where you can download the song. Verse 1 I want to  to live lord in the world of your Glory I want to live lord in the place where you are To stay away from the pressures & cares of this life. To stay away Lord from the ways of the world. (2*) Chorus I want to live oh Lord just right where you are. I want to stay oh Lord in your resting place Lead me away from things that keep me from you Separate me from the things Lord that hinders me. (3*) Verse 2 Oh Lord my heart is longing for your precious presence To receive Lord the light of your countenance So I can escape the darkness that covers the Earth So I can escape Lord the path of error (2*) Chorus I want to live oh Lord just right where you are. I want to sta

Made a Way: The Story Behind The Song

Made a way is a song written and sang by award winning artist Travis Greene in the year 2015. Many people knows the song but few actually know the story behind the song. The song was actually borne out of a personal testimony of Travis Greene. According to the artist, 'Made a Way' was written during an impossible situation. His pregnant wife’s water broke at 21 weeks, when pregnancy normally takes between 37-42 weeks. The doctors said the possibility of the baby’s survival is slim to none, and it was during this period when his wife was on bed rest for two months that he wrote the song. There was nothing else for them to hold on to but faith, and the good news is that as slim as the chance was, it didn’t break because faith held it together and today their baby boy is alive.  When Jesus was on His way to heal Jairus’s daughter and news came that things had gone from bad to worse, that the girl was dead. Jesus overheard and said, "Don't be upset. Just trust me

Lessons From the Sons of Sceva

....the evil spirit answered and said, Jesus I know, and Paul I know; but who are ye? - Acts 19:15 One funny incident that I read in the  Bible is about the seven sons of Sceva that attempted to use the Name of Jesus to cast out demons. The demons replied them that He knows Jesus and Paul, but who are they? They were given the beating of their life. (Acts 19:11-16) Were they wrong in using the Name of Jesus? No. But truth is they don't know nor understand that Name. They only want to use it selfishly just to get the results that Paul was getting. They thought it was a rocket science. Many at times we believers are like that; We live in sin , we disobey God and when we need something, we want to perform miracles, do signs and wonders in the Name of Jesus which we really belittle or don't value.  Someone once said during a plane turbulence, he saw unbelievers even shouting the name of Jesus. No wonder some folks suffered embarrassment like the sons of Sceva.  When
