Don't Be Moved By What You See!

“While we look not at the things which are seen, but at the things which are not seen: for the things which are seen are temporal; but the things which are not seen are eternal.“ - 2 Corinthians 4:8

There is the old song I remembered this morning, the lyrics goes thus:

"I'm not moved by what I see, Hallelujah,

I am moved by the Word of God? Hallelujah"

The story of Father Abraham is a great one:

Abraham is been known as the Father of Faith because he believe in God to do what He says He will do. Even though his physical eyes sees barrenness, childlessness, he still believe God will give him a child.

Truth is what you see around is not necessarily a reflection of where you should be. When the Israelites were to cross the red see, they were moved by the sights chariots of Pharaoh and his army that were coming to take them back, they had forgotten that it was God that has brought them this far.

As a child of God, when things are bad, when things are rough, when things are unstable, you must not be moved by them because only God has the final say. What you see is happening, no doubt but what God says will surely happen

You must learn to trust in God and be moved only by the Word of God. The Word of God is always settled and nothing God says that wouldn't come to pass, only if you believe.

What most believers don't know is you can't work enough to earn God's blessing. Abraham was blessed not because he worked for it but because he believed. The surest way to God's Blessing is to solely believe in Him. Any work we do must be borne out of that believe in God.

Abraham entered into the grace of God through Faith. Abraham was strong in faith. Faith is the currency to activate the blessing of God for you.

To have faith is to believe God that He will do what He says He will do; that is what makes Him God.

Don't be moved by sight or by feelings but be moved by the Word of God which is His infallible promise.
