Causes of Unanswered Prayers - Part 4

It is not news or new that we serve a prayer answering God. What surprises us is the fact despite we serving a prayer answering God, there are still many prayers that seems left unanswered. Truth is the problem is never from God: He always answer. The problem is from believers themselves.

Sometimes, we are not ready to receive the answer to our prayer. We do not yet have the capacity to receive it. God would not give us something that will crush us. There are certain believers that if God should give them a little change, they will eventually drift away from God.

Any prayer that is going to affect your salvation will not be answered by God.

Paul wrote to the Ephesians: Now unto him that is able to do exceeding abundantly above all that we ask or think, according to the power that worketh in us - Ephesians 3:20

When we do not have the capacity to receive the answer for our prayers, they will remain unanswered. God doesn't give you what will destroy you. The level of answer to your prayer is related to the level of Power that works in you (i.e. your capacity).

Why give you a blessing you are not prepared for. Looking at it from another angle, can you give your child (who can not a drive) a car to drive out, Definitely not. No matter how much you love such child, in fact you will not give him the car key because you love the child. But once the child is of age and can drive, you will gladly give the child the car key to drive.

While it is good to pray, it is more better to develop the capacity to receive the answers.

Tomorrow, we round up on this series: Causes of Unanswered Prayer.

Music: I Want to Live (Download)

I have another favourite song from the stable of Dunamis Ministry led by Pastor Paul Eneche.  The song is titled I want to live where you are. The song blesses me so much and I am sure you will be blessed by it. Below is the song lyrics and also a link where you can download the song. Verse 1 I want to  to live lord in the world of your Glory I want to live lord in the place where you are To stay away from the pressures & cares of this life. To stay away Lord from the ways of the world. (2*) Chorus I want to live oh Lord just right where you are. I want to stay oh Lord in your resting place Lead me away from things that keep me from you Separate me from the things Lord that hinders me. (3*) Verse 2 Oh Lord my heart is longing for your precious presence To receive Lord the light of your countenance So I can escape the darkness that covers the Earth So I can escape Lord the path of error (2*) Chorus I want to live oh Lord just right where you are. I want to sta

Made a Way: The Story Behind The Song

Made a way is a song written and sang by award winning artist Travis Greene in the year 2015. Many people knows the song but few actually know the story behind the song. The song was actually borne out of a personal testimony of Travis Greene. According to the artist, 'Made a Way' was written during an impossible situation. His pregnant wife’s water broke at 21 weeks, when pregnancy normally takes between 37-42 weeks. The doctors said the possibility of the baby’s survival is slim to none, and it was during this period when his wife was on bed rest for two months that he wrote the song. There was nothing else for them to hold on to but faith, and the good news is that as slim as the chance was, it didn’t break because faith held it together and today their baby boy is alive.  When Jesus was on His way to heal Jairus’s daughter and news came that things had gone from bad to worse, that the girl was dead. Jesus overheard and said, "Don't be upset. Just trust me

Lessons From the Sons of Sceva

....the evil spirit answered and said, Jesus I know, and Paul I know; but who are ye? - Acts 19:15 One funny incident that I read in the  Bible is about the seven sons of Sceva that attempted to use the Name of Jesus to cast out demons. The demons replied them that He knows Jesus and Paul, but who are they? They were given the beating of their life. (Acts 19:11-16) Were they wrong in using the Name of Jesus? No. But truth is they don't know nor understand that Name. They only want to use it selfishly just to get the results that Paul was getting. They thought it was a rocket science. Many at times we believers are like that; We live in sin , we disobey God and when we need something, we want to perform miracles, do signs and wonders in the Name of Jesus which we really belittle or don't value.  Someone once said during a plane turbulence, he saw unbelievers even shouting the name of Jesus. No wonder some folks suffered embarrassment like the sons of Sceva.  When
