Sometimes we ask for a good thing but with a wrong motive. God wants to bless us real good but our heart is just not right. Many believers have a wrong motive when praying for certain things.
Imagine a believer who ask for car simply because he wants to oppress his neighbours. The car is a good thing but the motive behind the car is not good.
We pray certain prayers and we ask why God doesn't answer. One of the causes of unanswered prayers is Wrong Motives. So when you pray, check the motive behind that prayer.
Our service to God has to be motivated by a proper motive. You may have poor motives and good service and have the ability to fool those who are around you. Some of the men in the Bible did this:
Pharaohs told Moses: Intreat the Lord that he may take away the frogs from me - Exodus 8:8
The Pharisee man who prayed: Two men went up to the temple to pray, one a Pharisee and the other a tax collector... - Luke 18:10-14.
The motive behind Pharaohs asking Moses to pray to God was for his own selfish reason. He wants the frogs out so he can continue his evil deeds. The Pharisee too was praying to justify himself by comparing himself to the tax collector. The Motives behinds prayers matter. God searches the heart of men who prayed to Him.
It's a beautiful day again. Another blessed Saturday. Gracious morning to you and do enjoy your weekend
