Say No to Bribe

And thou shalt take no bribe: for bribery blinds the wise, and pervert the words of the righteous. - Exodus 23:8

Can you help someone without asking for something in return? Can you as a man help a lady without not asking her out? Can you award a contract without asking for gratification? Can you carry out your job functions without not taking kickback? Can you be n impartial referee in a game without be partial?

Yesterday, series of events happened but one of the one that stood out for me is  an event when series of young men and women refuse to take bribe in this times, in this recession, in this age. It really brought smiles to me.

Corruption has really dented the image of the country Nigeria to the extent that trust is fast eroding. Virtually every sector of the country has this monster call corruption fighting them. But I have come to discover, the problem doesn't just lie with the leaders but also the followers. If you re not corruption free as a follower, you will be corrupt as a leader.

So many people has given up on the project called, 'Nigeria'. I was happy to see that corruption free people exist not because they are paid well or they are been watched (far from it). They have the fear of God in them.

I beleive in a New Nigeria, a Nigeria where the police would stop collect bribes from drivers on the highways, a Nigeria where my kids would get admission into colleges without knowing a high ranking officer. A Nigeria where Justice, Truth and Peace shall prevail. It begins with me and you not collecting bribes and doing our job with the fear of God.

Say NO to Bribes! Say NO shobby contracts work! Say NO to Stealing Public Money! Say Yes to a Corruption free Nigeria.

It's another day. Smile to people around you. Greet them and say 'hi'...

It will be a good day for you. It will be a memorable positive day for you. Today, You will rejoice. Every evil in this day over you is removed in Jesus Name.

Good Morning and do enjoy this wonderful day...

Music: I Want to Live (Download)

I have another favourite song from the stable of Dunamis Ministry led by Pastor Paul Eneche.  The song is titled I want to live where you are. The song blesses me so much and I am sure you will be blessed by it. Below is the song lyrics and also a link where you can download the song. Verse 1 I want to  to live lord in the world of your Glory I want to live lord in the place where you are To stay away from the pressures & cares of this life. To stay away Lord from the ways of the world. (2*) Chorus I want to live oh Lord just right where you are. I want to stay oh Lord in your resting place Lead me away from things that keep me from you Separate me from the things Lord that hinders me. (3*) Verse 2 Oh Lord my heart is longing for your precious presence To receive Lord the light of your countenance So I can escape the darkness that covers the Earth So I can escape Lord the path of error (2*) Chorus I want to live oh Lord just right where you are. I want to sta

Made a Way: The Story Behind The Song

Made a way is a song written and sang by award winning artist Travis Greene in the year 2015. Many people knows the song but few actually know the story behind the song. The song was actually borne out of a personal testimony of Travis Greene. According to the artist, 'Made a Way' was written during an impossible situation. His pregnant wife’s water broke at 21 weeks, when pregnancy normally takes between 37-42 weeks. The doctors said the possibility of the baby’s survival is slim to none, and it was during this period when his wife was on bed rest for two months that he wrote the song. There was nothing else for them to hold on to but faith, and the good news is that as slim as the chance was, it didn’t break because faith held it together and today their baby boy is alive.  When Jesus was on His way to heal Jairus’s daughter and news came that things had gone from bad to worse, that the girl was dead. Jesus overheard and said, "Don't be upset. Just trust me

Lessons From the Sons of Sceva

....the evil spirit answered and said, Jesus I know, and Paul I know; but who are ye? - Acts 19:15 One funny incident that I read in the  Bible is about the seven sons of Sceva that attempted to use the Name of Jesus to cast out demons. The demons replied them that He knows Jesus and Paul, but who are they? They were given the beating of their life. (Acts 19:11-16) Were they wrong in using the Name of Jesus? No. But truth is they don't know nor understand that Name. They only want to use it selfishly just to get the results that Paul was getting. They thought it was a rocket science. Many at times we believers are like that; We live in sin , we disobey God and when we need something, we want to perform miracles, do signs and wonders in the Name of Jesus which we really belittle or don't value.  Someone once said during a plane turbulence, he saw unbelievers even shouting the name of Jesus. No wonder some folks suffered embarrassment like the sons of Sceva.  When
