Do not be Fearful

For God has not given us the spirit of fear but of power, and of love and of a sound mind. - 2 Timothy 1:7

Timothy happens to be a young man pastoring a church, Paul being ban experienced church planter knew the kind of challenges Timothy will be facing and he encourage him to be afraid to use his gift. Fear is not of God.

Peter was once a fearful man but when the Holy Ghost came upon him, He became Bold to preach the gospel.

God has given each and everyone of us various gifts and talents but some are so fearful of using it mainly because of challenges. he Holy Spirit is not the author of a timid or cowardly disposition, or of slavish fears. We are likely to bear afflictions well, when we have strength and power from God to enable us to bear them; Power to encounter foes and dangers; power to bear up under trials; power to triumph in persecutions. That is, it is the nature of the gospel to inspire the mind with holy courage

Beloved, didn't be afraid, but be bold, loving and sensible. Fear robs us of maximinZing our potentials.

You are good and do good;....  - Psalm 119:68  Few months back, I came across an inspiring song by Jason David who happens to be a pastor.  He was diagnosed with cancer. After a year-long fight with cancer that claimed much of his tongue, Pastor Jason David refuses to stop singing.
