Happy Women's Day

 She riseth also  while it is yet night, and giveth meat to her household, and a portion to her maiden             - Proverb 31:15

Yesterday was the Women Day. Though I couldn't post on it yesterday. I want to dedicate today's post to women. 

One of the most precious gift of God to this planet is a woman. She is the pivot source of love in every way.

One of the greatest tragedies on earth is the way we treat our women. To some, women are nothing but a sexual object, to some women are nothing but a reproductive machine, to some women are slaves to a man.

Jesus values the women which was obvious during his ministry on earth. There is a chapter in the Bible (Proverb 31) that talks about and celebrate women. 

Let treat our women fairly and with respect. Let's honour and celebrate them. They should a special place in our heart.

Say no to rape against women, say no to abuse against women, say no to discrimination against women. Women are fragile  and delicate women vessels and needs to be well taken care of.

To every woman reading this, I salute you. I pray that the Good Lord will continually strengthen you to carry out your duties as a woman. You will eat the fruit of your labour.

Made a Way: The Story Behind The Song

Made a way is a song written and sang by award winning artist Travis Greene in the year 2015. Many people knows the song but few actually know the story behind the song. The song was actually borne out of a personal testimony of Travis Greene. According to the artist, 'Made a Way' was written during an impossible situation. His pregnant wife’s water broke at 21 weeks, when pregnancy normally takes between 37-42 weeks. The doctors said the possibility of the baby’s survival is slim to none, and it was during this period when his wife was on bed rest for two months that he wrote the song. There was nothing else for them to hold on to but faith, and the good news is that as slim as the chance was, it didn’t break because faith held it together and today their baby boy is alive.  When Jesus was on His way to heal Jairus’s daughter and news came that things had gone from bad to worse, that the girl was dead. Lessons From the Sons of Sceva

....the evil spirit answered and said, Jesus I know, and Paul I know; but who are ye? - Acts 19:15 One funny incident that I read in the  Bible is about the seven sons of Sceva that attempted to use the Name of Jesus to cast out demons. The demons replied them that He knows Jesus and Paul, but who are they? They were given the beating of their life. (Acts 19:11-16) Were they wrong in using the Name of Jesus? No. But truth is they don't know nor understand that Name. They only want to use it selfishly just to get the results that Paul was getting. They thought it was a rocket science. Many at times we believers are like that; We live in sin , we disobey God and when we need something, we want to perform miracles, do signs and wonders in the Name of Jesus which we really belittle or don't value.  Someone once said during a plane turbulence, he saw unbelievers even shouting the name of Jesus.
