Domestic Violence

Fools give full vent to their rage, but the wise bring calm in the end.
- Proverb 29:11

Of recent, There have been an increase in the reports of domestic violence. I feel sad when I see love turned sour among couples. I feel sad to hear of someone dying as a result of domestic abuse.

One thing I have observe is domestic violence don't just start on it's own. Something must have cause or led to it, it starts little by little until it grows bigger and escalate beyond control.

Domestic Violence doesn't has to be physical. Verbal abuse is the younger brother to a physic abuse. Anybody that curse or insult you can hit you. You are violent when you constantly attack another person self esteem. Violence can be verbal, emotionally, physical or mentally. It is not until you assault someone that you have been violent. Your choice of words to people can show if you are violent or not.

We do get angry, but we shouldn't let the sun goes down while angry i.e you shouldn't get angry for a long time. Learn to let go when people offend you because people MUST offend you. It is left to you to let that offense get to you or not. What people do to you matter but how you react matter more.

Lack of self control, poor anger management has lead to broken homes, loss of lives, damage to properties and many more.

Before you speak, think it, before you hit somebody else, think through. Be calm in tempting situations.

Do not die in silence if you are a victim of domestic violence or you have a bad temper. Seek help And be helped.

It's a wonderful and bright morning. Good Morning to you beloved, do have a great day.

Pastor Andre Jones of the sacred Assembly, United States, wrote a song that has brought comfort to many through out the world Many artists has cover the song notably Vashawn Mitchell, Mario Ese & the Tribe of Benjamin. The lyrics for the song goes thus: "We're connected to this world through our senses By what's tangible and easy to comprehend  There are days when it seems We're going nowhere fast Trust your faith to show you the truth Give a listen to what faith says to you:  "Our status is changing, there's no more decline I'm on my way to better days. Our status is changing, there's no more decline I'm on my way to better days.  My status is changing, there's no more decline I'm on my way to better days  Better days are in You, Jesus... My better life is in You, Jesus... Life's changing is in You, Jesus... My success is in You, Jesus... All I have to do is to look to You... Better days are with You... My f...

Made a Way: The Story Behind The Song

Made a way is a song written and sang by award winning artist Travis Greene in the year 2015. Many people knows the song but few actually know the story behind the song. The song was actually borne out of a personal testimony of Travis Greene. According to the artist, 'Made a Way' was written during an impossible situation. His pregnant wife’s water broke at 21 weeks, when pregnancy normally takes between 37-42 weeks. The doctors said the possibility of the baby’s survival is slim to none, and it was during this period when his wife was on bed rest for two months that he wrote the song. There was nothing else for them to hold on to but faith, and the good news is that as slim as the chance was, it didn’t break because faith held it together and today their baby boy is alive.  When Jesus was on His way to heal Jairus’s daughter and news came that things had gone from bad to worse, that the girl was dead. Jesus overheard and said, "Don't be upset. Just trust me...

If Men Were God

He sends  rain  on the just and on the unjust. - Matthew 5:44 It's raining as I type this post and I remember the words of Jesus in Matthew 5:45 where he talks about  God sending the rain on both the just and unjust. God won't because are a sinner or a bad personal withdraw the rain from Falling on your side. One special trait we are to emulate from God is that we should not discriminate. If men were God, the rain will be raining only on the good, the sun will be shinning only on the perfect. We humans readily discriminate, we isolate those we feel are not perfect or good. We see those who have sinned as been candidates of hell as if we haven't sinned before. One major problem of our society is discrimination. Even in church, we discriminate, we see that prostitute and we readily condemned her. We readily forget that as children of God, we don't just do good to good people, we are to do good to everybody. It doesn't matter how bad a person might be, you ...
