Recently, the President of Philippines, Rodrigo Duterte angers the Christians by claiming he will resign if anyone provides evidence of them going to heaven to meet God. Although he later strike a conciliatory tone days afterm what He said has always been the bone of contention between Christian and Scientist. Does God exist? If yes, provide evidence.
The existence of God is a subject of debate in the philosophy of religion and popular culture.
A wide variety of arguments for and against the existence of God can be categorized as metaphysical, logical, empirical, or subjective. In philosophical terms, the question of the existence of God involves the disciplines of epistemology (the nature and scope of knowledge) and ontology (study of the nature of being, existence, or reality) and the theory of value (since some definitions of God include "perfection").
When it comes to the possibility of God's existence, the Bible says that there are people who have seen sufficient evidence, but they have suppressed the truth about God. On the other hand, for those who want to know God if he is there, he says, "You will seek me and find me; when you seek me with all your heart, I will be found by you." Before you look at the facts surrounding his existence, ask yourself, If God does exist, would I want to know him?
Does God Exist - A Philosophical Issue
Before we ask the question "Does God exist?" we first have to deal with our philosophical predispositions. If, for example, I am already dedicated to the philosophical idea that nothing can exist outside of the natural realm (i.e. there can be no supernatural God), no amount of evidence could convince me otherwise. Asking the question "does God exist?" would be pointless. My answer would be "No, He doesn't," regardless of whether God truly exists or not.
The question would be impossible to answer from an evidentiary standpoint simply because anything which God might have done (that is, any supernatural act which might serve as evidence for His existence) would have to be explained away in terms of natural causes, not because we know what those natural causes could possibly be, but simply because a supernatural God is not allowed to exist!
A gospel singer Nathan Bsssey in one of his songs says "Don't look too far to see how good God is. Just take look at me". I rather say don't look too far to know if God exist, just take a look at yourself. You are fearfully and wonderfully created by an Intelligent Creator.
Everything in life points to a brilliant intelligence, something that just can't be coincidence. Scientists might deny the existence of God with their words But their actions and findings shows something different. What Christians Call God is what the scientist will refer to as Intelligent Being.
Humanly speaking, it is limited to try to reason God. Christians and other religions will claim that God is a supernatural being that can't be known through our human reasoning. They are right to some extent.
Atheists believer available evidence of God are incomplete, misleading and not sufficient to say God exist. Their view of who they want God to be is actually what makes them to be Atheists.
So back to the question: Does God exist? Yes, How do I know? I am a human being, I have seen things happen that is out of the ordinary, some called it miracles. Some called it chance. Some called it coincidence. I just know and I believe that God exist.
Another simple way to know if God exist is to pray a simple prayer to Him. Ask Him to reveal Himself to you. You will be surprised by the revelation you will receive. When you truly seek God, you will find Him regardless of who you are where you are or what you have done. God is God for everybody.
I won't call you a fool if you say God doesn't exist, I will call you a fool if after it all, you still believe God doesn't exist.
