Trust in the LORD with all your heart and lean not on your own understanding; in all your ways submit to him, and he will make your paths straight. - Psalms 3:5-6
Last Sunday, Pastor preached on Trusting and obeying God, my mind couldn't but wander on how we suffered incessantly simply because we couldn't trust God enough. The people of Isreal were suppose to get to the promise land in just 40days. Guess what? They ended up spending 40 years. That happen because they choose to believe the words of men over the words of God.
Unbelief, doubts and fear can make you missed your blessings. Abraham couldn't wait for God to fulfill His promise, He for Ishmael and up till now, Abraham seed are still facing the consequences of Ishmael.
God doesn't bless by mistakes, He is not a God of coincidence. Whatsoever He says He will do, He will do it. If you can't trust and Obey God enough to do what He says He will do, you are yet to be a believer. Our faith in God to bring to pass His Word for our life is what strengthen our relationship with God.
Saul missed it simply because He couldn't obey God enough. Caleb and Joshua believed God’s Word well enough that even when there were giants in the promised, they, unlike their 10 other counterparts, choose to see through the lens of God's Word for them.
Trusting and obeying God is not doing part and leaving part like Saul. Trust in the Lord with ALL your heart not with SOME of it.
