Loyal Faith

But Daniel purposed in his heart that he would not defile himself with the portion of the king's meat, nor with the wine which he drank: therefore he requested of the prince of the eunuchs that he might not defile himself. - Daniel 1:8

Daniel was part of the brilliant kids that were selected to serve the Babylonian King. He and his other three friends came from Judah, they were to be put on a 3-year strict diet regime before appearing to serve the King.

Daniel decided in his heart not to defile himself with the food of the Babylonian because back then it's a common practice that food were offered to idols before been eaten.

Daniel was a young cute guy who has been selected to serve the King, it was an enviable position, but despite it all, Daniel was ready to serve God in every capacity he found himself in even at the risk of rejecting the laid down food offered by the palace.

This shows Daniel's loyalty to his faith in God. He was ready to go any length to make sure he is in sync with his godly faith. Question is how loyal are you to your Christian faith? Some of us found ourselves in a position of influence, affluence and power and then we begin to compromise our Christian faith. We find a palatable excuse to tell ourselves we have got no choice but to do it. When you are faced with a career or family decision that you know will affect your Christian faith negatively, how will you handle it?

Maybe a friend convince you to try a herbalist and tells you "we all serve the same God". Maybe you need promotion in your place of work and you gotta do something (not really okay) to achieve it. Nowadays some Christian students readily cheat at every exams and they come out with good grades knowing they have cheated to pass.

Daniel was a young guy faced with a situation which he could have compromise but still, he refuse to. He was loyal to his Faith. Through our actions and decisions, we show how loyal we are to our faith.

I want to encourage you to be steadfast and loyal in your service to God, don't compromise your Christian faith because of a temporary gain. Daniel didn't compromise and he achieve a better results. That is the secret, when you stay loyal and serve faithfully, you will achieve a better result that those who didn't.

I want to encourage you to purpose in your heart like Daniel not to defile yourself with ungodly acts/things no matter where ever you found yourself.

My pray let for you is that God will strengthen you to serve Him loyally and faithfully to the end.

Good Morning and a Happy Sunday to You.

Made a Way: The Story Behind The Song

Made a way is a song written and sang by award winning artist Travis Greene in the year 2015. Many people knows the song but few actually know the story behind the song. The song was actually borne out of a personal testimony of Travis Greene. According to the artist, 'Made a Way' was written during an impossible situation. His pregnant wife’s water broke at 21 weeks, when pregnancy normally takes between 37-42 weeks. The doctors said the possibility of the baby’s survival is slim to none, and it was during this period when his wife was on bed rest for two months that he wrote the song. There was nothing else for them to hold on to but faith, and the good news is that as slim as the chance was, it didn’t break because faith held it together and today their baby boy is alive.  When Jesus was on His way to heal Jairus’s daughter and news came that things had gone from bad to worse, that the girl was dead. Jesus overheard and said, "Don't be upset. Just trust me...

Unlimited Thanksgiving

"Be joyful always; pray continually; give thanks in all circumstances, for this is God’s will for you in Christ Jesus." - 1 Thessalonians 5:16-18 Our thanksgiving should be unlimited. Even If we have thousands tongue to thank God with, it can never be enough. Looking all around you, you will always find a reason to thank God. This year might be so challenging for you, things might not have gone smoothly as you expected, nevertheless you have got to thank God. We do not thank God FOR difficult situation but we thank God IN difficult situation. Don't just be that person that only does thanksgiving when things are going on fine. Don't be that person that thank God seasonally. Don't be that person that thank God only when they have a 'big' testimony to share. Don't be that person that just thank God just because the preacher asked them to. God has been so good from ages past. No one else deserves our appreciation more than Him. You will be...
