And Mahlon and Chilion died also both of them; and the woman (Naomi) was left of her two sons and her husband. - Ruth 1:5
This morning, I mediated on the story of Naomi in Ruth. She, her husband, two sons and their spouse travelled out of the country for greener pastures. Unfortunately, she lost her husband and two sons abroad and she came back into the country as a widow. There are some great points I picked while studying Naomi's story:
• Traveling abroad doesn't necessarily means you're going to make it.
• Leaving certainty for a uncertainty is always a great risk.
• There is no shame in returning back home when things are tough outside. The prodigal son was wise enough like Naomi to return back home.
• There is no place you can be on this earth that God's blessing can't reach you.
• Ruth was more like a daughter to Naomi. Family is not only about those related to you by blood, some people are more of family to you.
• Tragedy befell Naomi but she didn't commit Suicide. No amount of problems, sufferings are worth you killing yourself. When there is life, there is hope.
Read the story of Naomi in the book of Ruth and Learn many more truths there.
My Prayer is for everyone that has suffered like Naomi, The Lord God will comfort you, He will turn your captivity for good.
Top of the Morning to you and do have a gracious Sunday.
