No Food For Lazy People

For while we were yet with you, we gave you this rule and charge: If anyone will not work, neither let him eat.
Indeed, we hear that some among you are disorderly [that they are passing their lives in idleness, neglectful of duty], being busy with other people’s affairs instead of their own and doing no work.
 - 2 Thessalonians 3:10-11

The Christians of Thessalonica had gotten the wrong idea about work. Having heard that the Lord might be returning soon, they decided that all they needed to do was sit down and wait. Jesus is going to return, the end of the age is coming, so, hey, why work up a sweat? Let’s sit down in the old rocking chair and let it happen! The Christians of Thessalonica figured that God would take care of everything, so why bother to work?
It is to these lazy people, that Paul delivers a stinging word of rebuke in the above passage.

What has happened to the work ethic in our time?
o Why is it that employers complain that workers do not want to work?
• I wonder if people get lazy because they never got a witness about work.
o Is it, in part, because no one ever shared with them the meaning of work?
• Paul says that we work as an example to others.
o Our work is a part of our witness.

Yesterday was Sunday, I felt so tired and wished I shouldn’t go to work today but then I remember that If I don’t work, I won’t eat. It’s a Monday Morning, first day of the working week. Don’t be lazy, get up to work, if you don’t have a job yet, find something to do, volunteer to do something. Diligence is a requirement from the Lord, He detest laziness. You will become poor if you don’t work.
Perhaps you don’t like the work you are doing, that doesn’t mean you have to stop working. Prayerfully Look for a better work while still working the present one. Don’t just leave your job (career or business) simply because you don’t like it. Be wise.
Many old people suffer simply because of their laziness in their youthful days.
find nourishment and strength to do what I am called to do, because here in God’s word I see that Jesus was obedient, He worked, and, though he died; now He lives.

Your week is blessed, your going out and coming in is blessed. You will not Labour in vain.
Good morning and do have a blessed week 👍

Pastor Andre Jones of the sacred Assembly, United States, wrote a song that has brought comfort to many through out the world Many artists has cover the song notably Vashawn Mitchell, Mario Ese & the Tribe of Benjamin. The lyrics for the song goes thus: "We're connected to this world through our senses By what's tangible and easy to comprehend  There are days when it seems We're going nowhere fast Trust your faith to show you the truth Give a listen to what faith says to you:  "Our status is changing, there's no more decline I'm on my way to better days. Our status is changing, there's no more decline I'm on my way to better days.  My status is changing, there's no more decline I'm on my way to better days  Better days are in You, Jesus... My better life is in You, Jesus... Life's changing is in You, Jesus... My success is in You, Jesus... All I have to do is to look to You... Better days are with You... My f...

Made a Way: The Story Behind The Song

Made a way is a song written and sang by award winning artist Travis Greene in the year 2015. Many people knows the song but few actually know the story behind the song. The song was actually borne out of a personal testimony of Travis Greene. According to the artist, 'Made a Way' was written during an impossible situation. His pregnant wife’s water broke at 21 weeks, when pregnancy normally takes between 37-42 weeks. The doctors said the possibility of the baby’s survival is slim to none, and it was during this period when his wife was on bed rest for two months that he wrote the song. There was nothing else for them to hold on to but faith, and the good news is that as slim as the chance was, it didn’t break because faith held it together and today their baby boy is alive.  When Jesus was on His way to heal Jairus’s daughter and news came that things had gone from bad to worse, that the girl was dead. Jesus overheard and said, "Don't be upset. Just trust me...

If Men Were God

He sends  rain  on the just and on the unjust. - Matthew 5:44 It's raining as I type this post and I remember the words of Jesus in Matthew 5:45 where he talks about  God sending the rain on both the just and unjust. God won't because are a sinner or a bad personal withdraw the rain from Falling on your side. One special trait we are to emulate from God is that we should not discriminate. If men were God, the rain will be raining only on the good, the sun will be shinning only on the perfect. We humans readily discriminate, we isolate those we feel are not perfect or good. We see those who have sinned as been candidates of hell as if we haven't sinned before. One major problem of our society is discrimination. Even in church, we discriminate, we see that prostitute and we readily condemned her. We readily forget that as children of God, we don't just do good to good people, we are to do good to everybody. It doesn't matter how bad a person might be, you ...
