Success Is A Process

Two years ago, one of my business mentors dedicated his new house. You know those type of houses that look like hotels? The type of house you will look at and be like, "I want to have this when I 'grow up'." Some of us were taken round the house. I really fed my eyes, and even took several pictures.

It was spectacular, especially the interior decor. And when I got home, I moved the pictures to a folder named "Future". That was the best I could do then, and now too.
I can't come and be setting those kind of goals now. No oh. Is it possible? Yes. But now may not be the right time.

"Toby, come on, you need to have faith. Once you can imagine and confess it, you will have it." I have heard you. But I believe in the law of process.

How do I mean?

God designed the world tho function in processes. That is why a woman would carry a pregnancy for nine months before she delivers, no matter how many gallons of anointing oil she drinks, or how many hands are laid on her.

Why?  Process. Short-circuiting that process would lead to an abortion or a premature delivery. We don't want that. Does this mean that I don't believe in miracles and breakthroughs? Absolutely not. I do.

But this was what a wise mentor told me a few years ago, "If you jump up, you will jump down. But when you grow up, you will stay up." I understand that you have read a few books and attended seminars on vision and goal setting.

Your blood is now hot. You are now seeing and trying to confess yourself into becoming a multi-billionaire immediately. I won't tell you to stop. Think and dream big by all means.

However, note that, although your dreams may come true, it may take a lot more than just visualizing and confessing.

One of those things is time.

Why?

You need time to pass through the process.

Why?

Because it is in the process of passing through the process that you become the person who can live that dream.

Here is the right formula:

You BECOME.

You DO.

Then you HAVE.

If you try to have before you do, you'd end up as a thief, a robber or a scammer. If you do before you become, you could still have. But it may not likely last, because water will always find its level.

Grow the right mindset, and adopt values that support those dreams. Work towards becoming the person that can have those things first. And don't get envious or depressed when you see others living their own dreams. Yours is still coming.

Lastly, I will close with the words of Bishop David Abioye, "God does not have a problem preparing blessings for us. His only problem is preparing us for the blessings he prepared for us."

Do have a splendid weekend 😊

Made a Way: The Story Behind The Song

Made a way is a song written and sang by award winning artist Travis Greene in the year 2015. Many people knows the song but few actually know the story behind the song. The song was actually borne out of a personal testimony of Travis Greene. According to the artist, 'Made a Way' was written during an impossible situation. His pregnant wife’s water broke at 21 weeks, when pregnancy normally takes between 37-42 weeks. The doctors said the possibility of the baby’s survival is slim to none, and it was during this period when his wife was on bed rest for two months that he wrote the song. There was nothing else for them to hold on to but faith, and the good news is that as slim as the chance was, it didn’t break because faith held it together and today their baby boy is alive.  When Jesus was on His way to heal Jairus’s daughter and news came that things had gone from bad to worse, that the girl was dead. Jesus overheard and said, "Don't be upset. Just trust me...
