A Giving Life - Part 2

Then the people rejoiced because they had offered so willingly, for they made their offering to the Lord with a whole heart, and King David also rejoiced greatly. - 1 Chronicles 29:9

These Days, you hear sentences like ‘That percentage is God’s money, don’t touch it’ Preachers will tell you your first wages in the year is God own, the rest is yours. That is actually wrong. That is why Giving has been like a ritualistic acts to some. Most folks feel duty-bound to give. They give not entirely out of their mind but more of because of the consequences they have heard of not giving.

Truth be said, Tithing and Offering is of God but 10percent of your income is not God own.  It’s a wrong mentality to think God owns 10 percent of your income. Everything you have, all your income is God’s own. He owns hundred percent. You are just a steward of it. Until we have that mentality that it’s not your money but God’s own, Giving will be easy for you. When you understand God owns all the salary you have, paying tithe, offering, giving to the needy won’t be difficult because it’s not your money but God’s money.

The resources with you, the talents with you are entrusted to your care. Have the stewardship mentality and not the ownership mentality. When you realize God owns it, when He ask you to bring certain amount, you will gladly bring it to him because it is His and not yours. The earth is of the Lord and the fullness thereof.

From today onward, have a different mentality. God will entrust millions to you if you are a good steward of his thousand. Stop Giving if you think God will give you an hundred percent interest. God is not MMM or a Bank or a Gambling establishment. Stop Giving if you think God will lower His standard/Principles for You. Stop Giving if you are not comfortable with where your giving is going to.
Stop Giving if you are not in right standing with God. A sinner who is a good giver is still a sinner.

Start Giving because God want you to. Start Giving because as a good stewardship, you will give account of the resources entrusted into you. Start Giving because you love God. Star Giving because you want to be a helper.

It's a Christmas season, a season of Giving...

Made a Way: The Story Behind The Song

Made a way is a song written and sang by award winning artist Travis Greene in the year 2015. Many people knows the song but few actually know the story behind the song. The song was actually borne out of a personal testimony of Travis Greene. According to the artist, 'Made a Way' was written during an impossible situation. His pregnant wife’s water broke at 21 weeks, when pregnancy normally takes between 37-42 weeks. The doctors said the possibility of the baby’s survival is slim to none, and it was during this period when his wife was on bed rest for two months that he wrote the song. There was nothing else for them to hold on to but faith, and the good news is that as slim as the chance was, it didn’t break because faith held it together and today their baby boy is alive.  When Jesus was on His way to heal Jairus’s daughter and news came that things had gone from bad to worse, that the girl was dead. Jesus overheard and said, "Don't be upset. Just trust me...

Our status is changing, there's no more decline I'm on my way to better days.  My status is changing, there's no more decline I'm on my way to better days  Better days are in You, Jesus... My better life is in You, Jesus... Life's changing is in You, Jesus... My success is in You, Jesus... All I have to do is to look to You... Better days are with You... My f...

Song: These Walls

You are good and do good;....  - Psalm 119:68  Few months back, I came across an inspiring song by Jason David who happens to be a pastor.  He was diagnosed with cancer. After a year-long fight with cancer that claimed much of his tongue, Pastor Jason David refuses to stop singing. "These Walls" is an original worship song he wrote that became his anthem as he fought through several surgeries, chemotherapy & radiation. For someone going through challenges; financial, health, marital, academic, whatever it may be, I pray this song will bless you - no matter what walls or mountains you may face, God is greater & God is good!  Below are the lyrics of the song: Verse: You are greater than these walls I'm circling  You are stronger than these army  I see You are bigger than these mountains that I faced And I will choose only to praise You. Pre - Chorus  This is my song, these is my dare To worship you even as thes...
