Where Is God When It Hurt?

And we know that all things work together for good to them that love God, to them who are the called according to his purpose.
 - Romans 8:28

I have spoken to many atheist and most become atheist because of the fact that they don't believe there will be an Almighty God who watches and yet different calamity, genocide, hunger etc affecting the world.

Many times in our lives, we felt like God has abandon us. This bring me to the question 'Where is God when it hurts'. Terrorist killing innocent, earthquakes and flooding happens. Babies having cancer. The question becomes, why can't God intervene and stop it? September 11 is ever fresh on the minds of America.

Many counselors are confused on this and they all try to comfort people and just do their best still leaving people with more questions than answers.

Where is God when it hurts? You go through a lot, no job, no spouse, no money, you are dying, your baby is sick, you lost a breadwinner and can't figure out why God will Mae you go through this.
While we might not have all the answers we seek. God is right there where He is. He is still God in the good and bad times.

Just know this: everything (persecution and sufferings included) works together for good unto those that love God.

We might never fully understand the ways of God. But no matter how the devil try to portray Him, He is a Good God.

It's another good day. The Good God will see through the day. He will keep you from harm.

We continue tomorrow in examining the question 'Where is God when it hurts?

Good Morning and do have a Good Wednesday.

Music: I Want to Live (Download)

I have another favourite song from the stable of Dunamis Ministry led by Pastor Paul Eneche.  The song is titled I want to live where you are. The song blesses me so much and I am sure you will be blessed by it. Below is the song lyrics and also a link where you can download the song. Verse 1 I want to  to live lord in the world of your Glory I want to live lord in the place where you are To stay away from the pressures & cares of this life. To stay away Lord from the ways of the world. (2*) Chorus I want to live oh Lord just right where you are. I want to stay oh Lord in your resting place Lead me away from things that keep me from you Separate me from the things Lord that hinders me. (3*) Verse 2 Oh Lord my heart is longing for your precious presence To receive Lord the light of your countenance So I can escape the darkness that covers the Earth So I can escape Lord the path of error (2*) Chorus I want to live oh Lord just right where you are. I want to sta

Made a Way: The Story Behind The Song

Made a way is a song written and sang by award winning artist Travis Greene in the year 2015. Many people knows the song but few actually know the story behind the song. The song was actually borne out of a personal testimony of Travis Greene. According to the artist, 'Made a Way' was written during an impossible situation. His pregnant wife’s water broke at 21 weeks, when pregnancy normally takes between 37-42 weeks. The doctors said the possibility of the baby’s survival is slim to none, and it was during this period when his wife was on bed rest for two months that he wrote the song. There was nothing else for them to hold on to but faith, and the good news is that as slim as the chance was, it didn’t break because faith held it together and today their baby boy is alive.  When Jesus was on His way to heal Jairus’s daughter and news came that things had gone from bad to worse, that the girl was dead. Jesus overheard and said, "Don't be upset. Just trust me

Lessons From the Sons of Sceva

....the evil spirit answered and said, Jesus I know, and Paul I know; but who are ye? - Acts 19:15 One funny incident that I read in the  Bible is about the seven sons of Sceva that attempted to use the Name of Jesus to cast out demons. The demons replied them that He knows Jesus and Paul, but who are they? They were given the beating of their life. (Acts 19:11-16) Were they wrong in using the Name of Jesus? No. But truth is they don't know nor understand that Name. They only want to use it selfishly just to get the results that Paul was getting. They thought it was a rocket science. Many at times we believers are like that; We live in sin , we disobey God and when we need something, we want to perform miracles, do signs and wonders in the Name of Jesus which we really belittle or don't value.  Someone once said during a plane turbulence, he saw unbelievers even shouting the name of Jesus. No wonder some folks suffered embarrassment like the sons of Sceva.  When
