The Lord is my Shepherd, I shall not want;
- Psalms 23:1
A shepherd is someone who leads, guide, protect, provide for and directs his sheep. A shepherd is always there for his sheep. This was the analogy David was relating to when he said The Lord is His shepherd and He shall not want (or lack).
Many at times, we want God goodies but doesn't want Him in our lives. It's like telling the doctor, I don't need the medications but I need to get well. When you make the Lord your shepherd, your provision is guaranteed. David could declare he shall not want because he has made the Lord his Shepherd. It means, He is a sheep in the hands of the Lord, his shepherd.
When you have any option or alternative other than Jesus your shepherd, you will be cut off from His banner of provision. The prodigal son suffered because he was out of the banner of Provision.
If there is anything that should be important to you in the world, it should be your relationship with your Maker. Stop having a plan B beside God. You don't need that charms, that short-cut, or that dubious scheme. You don't need to falsify figures in your place of work or do 'runs' to get more money. God alone is sufficient for you. Simply make Him your shepherd by obeying Him, following Him and staying put within the flock.
Your provision in life is tied to your relationship (as a sheep) to God (your Shepherd).
Today is another day to review your relationship with your Maker. This ain't about religion but it's about You and your Maker.
Take the time to reflect on this and if you need to re-dedicate yourself or to returned back. You got to do it NOW! Take a moment to do that NOW!
Because you have made the Lord your shepherd; Lack, want, struggling and failure is terminated over your life in Jesus Name.
Good Morning and a Happy Sunday to You! 🙂
