Looks Could be Deceiving

And it came to pass, when they were come, that he looked on Eliab, and said, Surely the LORD'S anointed is before him.

But the LORD said unto Samuel, Look not on his countenance, or on the height of his stature; because I have refused him: for the LORD see not as man see; for man look on the outward appearance, but the LORD look on the heart.
 - 1 Samuel 16:6-7

One of many things I have learn in life is this: No human can see the heart of a man, only God see and know the  heart. So many times, we have judged people by the way we see them.

Many pains are hidden behind the smiles. Because someone is handsome or beautiful doesn't mean their life is beautiful. Have you ever see someone at first sight and you quickly conclude or assume particular thing about them. Yeah at times it seems you are right but it is not most of the time.

To the Singles: you want to get marry, rite? Don't just look outward, it could be so deceiving. Take your time to study each other. Don't rush in so as not to rush out

To the Married: you still feel you haven't understand your spouse. The mistake most couples make is they try to understand each other through their outward appearances. Because she is smiling doesn't means she is not hurt. Because he came home looking cool doesn't mean he is happy. Relate inwardly with each other.

To the Business Owners: Don't look down on your customers. Even when a customer is shabbily dressed, still treat him/her like a king/queen.

To All: Treat everyone that comes across your way with respect whether you know them or not. Stop judging/concluding based on outward looks ONLY. Take time to get to know people more and better

Today is a good day. I declare over your life that throughout the rest of this year and beyond, you shall enjoy the goodness of the Lord.

Verse 1 I want to  to live lord in the world of your Glory I want to live lord in the place where you are To stay away from the pressures & cares of this life. To stay away Lord from the ways of the world. (2*) Chorus I want to live oh Lord just right where you are. I want to stay oh Lord in your resting place Lead me away from things that keep me from you Separate me from the things Lord that hinders me. (3*) Verse 2 Oh Lord my heart is longing for your precious presence To receive Lord the light of your countenance So I can escape the darkness that covers the Earth So I can escape Lord the path of error (2*) Chorus I want to live oh Lord just right where you are. Made a Way: The Story Behind The Song

Made a way is a song written and sang by award winning artist Travis Greene in the year 2015. Many people knows the song but few actually know the story behind the song. The song was actually borne out of a personal testimony of Travis Greene. According to the artist, 'Made a Way' was written during an impossible situation. His pregnant wife’s water broke at 21 weeks, when pregnancy normally takes between 37-42 weeks. The doctors said the possibility of the baby’s survival is slim to none, and it was during this period when his wife was on bed rest for two months that he wrote the song. There was nothing else for them to hold on to but faith, and the good news is that as slim as the chance was, it didn’t break because faith held it together and today their baby boy is alive.  When Jesus was on His way to heal Jairus’s daughter and news came that things had gone from bad to worse, that the girl was dead. Jesus overheard and said, "Don't be upset. Just trust me

Lessons From the Sons of Sceva

....the evil spirit answered and said, Jesus I know, and Paul I know; but who are ye? - Acts 19:15 One funny incident that I read in the  Bible is about the seven sons of Sceva that attempted to use the Name of Jesus to cast out demons. The demons replied them that He knows Jesus and Paul, but who are they? They were given the beating of their life. (Acts 19:11-16) Were they wrong in using the Name of Jesus? No. But truth is they don't know nor understand that Name. They only want to use it selfishly just to get the results that Paul was getting. They thought it was a rocket science. Many at times we believers are like that; We live in sin , we disobey God and when we need something, we want to perform miracles, do signs and wonders in the Name of Jesus which we really belittle or don't value.  Someone once said during a plane turbulence, he saw unbelievers even shouting the name of Jesus. No wonder some folks suffered embarrassment like the sons of Sceva.  When
