Fear Not - Part 1

And he (Elisha) answered, Fear not: for they that be with us are more than they that be with them. - 2 Kings 6:16

An army from Syria  came to arrest Prophet Elisha, the prophet, been a man of God, wasn't even fearful but his servant was. He ask his master Elisha what shall they do. Elisha replied him not to be scared for there are more with them than the one that came to arrest them.

Fear naturally come over us when we are faced with tough challenges or difficult situations and we don't know the way out. The servant despite been so close to the prophet still became afraid when he saw the army.

While God never promise us a pause from all problems, but He did promise to be with us and see us through it all. Elisha servant couldn't see more than the army before them. He only saw the problems, not the solution.

As a believer, you must understand that greater is He that is in you than he that is in the world. When you are faced with difficulties, you should know that you are not alone. You carry the One that can see you through that storms.

In life, what you get is largely influenced by what you see...
Our ability to see beyond the problems is an indicator of victory.

Tomorrow and days to come, we continue on this study 'Fear Not'; Why shouldn't we fear and how do we stop been fearful?

Good Morning to you and do have a beautiful Tuesday.

Verse 1 I want to  to live lord in the world of your Glory I want to live lord in the place where you are To stay away from the pressures & cares of this life. To stay away Lord from the ways of the world. (2*) Chorus I want to live oh Lord just right where you are. I want to stay oh Lord in your resting place Lead me away from things that keep me from you Separate me from the things Lord that hinders me. (3*) Verse 2 Oh Lord my heart is longing for your precious presence To receive Lord the light of your countenance So I can escape the darkness that covers the Earth So I can escape Lord the path of error (2*) Chorus I want to live oh Lord just right where you are. Made a Way: The Story Behind The Song

Made a way is a song written and sang by award winning artist Travis Greene in the year 2015. Many people knows the song but few actually know the story behind the song. The song was actually borne out of a personal testimony of Travis Greene. According to the artist, 'Made a Way' was written during an impossible situation. His pregnant wife’s water broke at 21 weeks, when pregnancy normally takes between 37-42 weeks. The doctors said the possibility of the baby’s survival is slim to none, and it was during this period when his wife was on bed rest for two months that he wrote the song. There was nothing else for them to hold on to but faith, and the good news is that as slim as the chance was, it didn’t break because faith held it together and today their baby boy is alive.  When Jesus was on His way to heal Jairus’s daughter and news came that things had gone from bad to worse, that the girl was dead. Jesus overheard and said, "Don't be upset. Just trust me

Lessons From the Sons of Sceva

....the evil spirit answered and said, Jesus I know, and Paul I know; but who are ye? - Acts 19:15 One funny incident that I read in the  Bible is about the seven sons of Sceva that attempted to use the Name of Jesus to cast out demons. The demons replied them that He knows Jesus and Paul, but who are they? They were given the beating of their life. (Acts 19:11-16) Were they wrong in using the Name of Jesus? No. But truth is they don't know nor understand that Name. They only want to use it selfishly just to get the results that Paul was getting. They thought it was a rocket science. Many at times we believers are like that; We live in sin , we disobey God and when we need something, we want to perform miracles, do signs and wonders in the Name of Jesus which we really belittle or don't value.  Someone once said during a plane turbulence, he saw unbelievers even shouting the name of Jesus. No wonder some folks suffered embarrassment like the sons of Sceva.  When
