Be Strong, Be Courageous

Have not I commanded thee? Be strong and of a good courage; be not afraid, neither be thou dismayed: for the LORD thy God is with thee whithersoever thou goest. - Joshua 1:9

After the death of Moses, God choose Joshua as the new leader for Israelites. Being a new terrain for Joshua, God repeatedly told him to be Strong and Courageous.

At times, we are thrust unexpectedly into a new role or a new terrain. In times like that, we  are not to falter nor timid, rather we are to be bold and of good courage.

God has not given us the spirit of fear. As long as God is on our side, we are not to fear anything whatsoever. New ideas will come, some might start a new business, some will be put into a new role. Whatsoever it is, it shouldn't scare us.

The challenges of leading the Israelite was really enormous for Joshua but God assured him everything will be fine.

To someone reading this, whatsoever challenges you might be facing in your job, business, academics, family, relationship etc, God is assuring you, all will be fine; all you need do is to be courageous and strong.

Timid and doubt weakens and diminishes you. And it's also a sign of not trusting God enough.

With God, you are no longer alive to fear. We have dominion as believers, we have victory as believers, we have boldness as believers. Nothing should weigh us down because we know better.

The promises of God are sure and yea. He has promise to be with us every step of the way. All He wants from  us is to trust Him enough to be courageous, strong and bold.

To someone fearful about the uncertainty of the future, stop fearing and commit everything unto God.

I pray that every challenges facing us in the year 2018 will confronted and overcome. It's our year of overcoming.

Victorious Morning and a victorious day to you.

Music: I Want to Live (Download)

I have another favourite song from the stable of Dunamis Ministry led by Pastor Paul Eneche.  The song is titled I want to live where you are. The song blesses me so much and I am sure you will be blessed by it. Below is the song lyrics and also a link where you can download the song. Verse 1 I want to  to live lord in the world of your Glory I want to live lord in the place where you are To stay away from the pressures & cares of this life. To stay away Lord from the ways of the world. (2*) Chorus I want to live oh Lord just right where you are. I want to stay oh Lord in your resting place Lead me away from things that keep me from you Separate me from the things Lord that hinders me. (3*) Verse 2 Oh Lord my heart is longing for your precious presence To receive Lord the light of your countenance So I can escape the darkness that covers the Earth So I can escape Lord the path of error (2*) Chorus I want to live oh Lord just right where you are. I want to sta

Made a Way: The Story Behind The Song

Made a way is a song written and sang by award winning artist Travis Greene in the year 2015. Many people knows the song but few actually know the story behind the song. The song was actually borne out of a personal testimony of Travis Greene. According to the artist, 'Made a Way' was written during an impossible situation. His pregnant wife’s water broke at 21 weeks, when pregnancy normally takes between 37-42 weeks. The doctors said the possibility of the baby’s survival is slim to none, and it was during this period when his wife was on bed rest for two months that he wrote the song. There was nothing else for them to hold on to but faith, and the good news is that as slim as the chance was, it didn’t break because faith held it together and today their baby boy is alive.  When Jesus was on His way to heal Jairus’s daughter and news came that things had gone from bad to worse, that the girl was dead. Jesus overheard and said, "Don't be upset. Just trust me

Lessons From the Sons of Sceva

....the evil spirit answered and said, Jesus I know, and Paul I know; but who are ye? - Acts 19:15 One funny incident that I read in the  Bible is about the seven sons of Sceva that attempted to use the Name of Jesus to cast out demons. The demons replied them that He knows Jesus and Paul, but who are they? They were given the beating of their life. (Acts 19:11-16) Were they wrong in using the Name of Jesus? No. But truth is they don't know nor understand that Name. They only want to use it selfishly just to get the results that Paul was getting. They thought it was a rocket science. Many at times we believers are like that; We live in sin , we disobey God and when we need something, we want to perform miracles, do signs and wonders in the Name of Jesus which we really belittle or don't value.  Someone once said during a plane turbulence, he saw unbelievers even shouting the name of Jesus. No wonder some folks suffered embarrassment like the sons of Sceva.  When
