But seek first his kingdom and his righteousness, and all these things will be given to you as well" (Matthew 6:33).
So how do we in our pursuit of happiness balance it between God and Gold?
Note: Gold is used to generally mean possession.
First and foremost, the most important thing in your life is not Gold, it is your relationship with God that comes first. Jesus warn those who think they can chase both God and Gold: 'you can't serve two master, God and mammon'.
In our pursuit of happiness, we must realize that God is the true giver of wealth. The devil only Package sorrow and present it to us as wealth. Don't be deceived.
Secondly, true happiness is not found in the abundance of our possession. Solomon despite been the richest guy still get depressed. Money doesn't equate happiness. Happiness is of the mind. Gold won't bring you happiness but God will.
Thirdly, be contended. Contentment doesn't mean you are satisfied at the level you are. It simply means you are not materialistic. It means you don't allow greed or covetousness to rule you. In your pursuit of happiness, Be contended with what you have. Don't always look for quick money. God is a God of process and principle. Those who are in a hurry to get money are more likely to do anything untoward for money.
As you go through the day, be diligent in your work and see God prosper the works of your hands.
Remember true happiness is found not in gold but in God.
Top of the morning to you and have a prosperous day.
