Resist Thhe Devil: Giving The Devil No Chance

... 'Get Behind Me, Satan'...
- Matthew 4:10

We continue on the titles 'Resist The Devil' Yesterday we studied the story of Eve and the Serpent and we read how Eve was tricked by the devil who came in form of a serpent.

Always knows this; the devil has no good plan or whatsoever for you. So anytime he comes to you, he is coming for something bad, something evil which is the more reason you shouldn't give him a chance.

Eve allowed the devil to interact with her and that action eventually cost them everything. We have been given  power to resist the devil. As a believer, we are not to flee from the devil because when you flee, he will still look for you. We are to resist him, when we resist him, he will flee. To resist is not to give him any chance through any firm he might come through.

When the devil came to tempt Jesus, after replying him back with the Word, Jesus resisted him by telling him point blank 'Get Behind Me' and the Bible recorded he left Jesus.

It's unbelievers that has no power to resist the devil but every child of God has that power. Because of God in us, we are greater than the devil.

Eve could have resisted the devil and he will surely flee. Failure to resist the devil spell doom. It's dangerous to stay connected with the devil. He might come as a gentle person, charming and promising; but He is an evil person that has nothing to do except to steal, kill and destroy.

Beware of the tactics of the devil and don't believe anything he says to you. Resist him with the power of God in you and he has no option but to flee from you.

It's a blessed day. Thank God today is friday. Good Morning and do have a happy friday.

Made a Way: The Story Behind The Song

Made a way is a song written and sang by award winning artist Travis Greene in the year 2015. Many people knows the song but few actually know the story behind the song. The song was actually borne out of a personal testimony of Travis Greene. According to the artist, 'Made a Way' was written during an impossible situation. His pregnant wife’s water broke at 21 weeks, when pregnancy normally takes between 37-42 weeks. The doctors said the possibility of the baby’s survival is slim to none, and it was during this period when his wife was on bed rest for two months that he wrote the song. There was nothing else for them to hold on to but faith, and the good news is that as slim as the chance was, it didn’t break because faith held it together and today their baby boy is alive.  When Jesus was on His way to heal Jairus’s daughter and news came that things had gone from bad to worse, that the girl was dead. Jesus overheard and said, "Don't be upset. Just trust me

Lessons From the Sons of Sceva

....the evil spirit answered and said, Jesus I know, and Paul I know; but who are ye? - Acts 19:15 One funny incident that I read in the  Bible is about the seven sons of Sceva that attempted to use the Name of Jesus to cast out demons. The demons replied them that He knows Jesus and Paul, but who are they? They were given the beating of their life. (Acts 19:11-16) Were they wrong in using the Name of Jesus? No. But truth is they don't know nor understand that Name. They only want to use it selfishly just to get the results that Paul was getting. They thought it was a rocket science. Many at times we believers are like that; We live in sin , we disobey God and when we need something, we want to perform miracles, do signs and wonders in the Name of Jesus which we really belittle or don't value.  Someone once said during a plane turbulence, he saw unbelievers even shouting the name of Jesus. No wonder some folks suffered embarrassment like the sons of Sceva.  When
