Forgiveness: Hallmark of the Strong

Father, Forgive them.... - Luke 23:34

One of the most powerful moments of Forgiveness recorded down in the Bible is the moment when Jesus prayed unto God to have mercy on the people who want him killed because they don't know what they are doing.

Forgiveness is easy to say or preach until you are hurt and you get to realise forgiveness is not that alway easy especially when you get hurt by those close to you.

Forgiveness can take time to process for some, forgiveness is a healing process for others. Whatever it is for you, there is need for us to forgive and let go. Not forgiving makes life miserable in the sense that you become bitter about the offence.

Jesus was asking God to forgive His attackers  because true that forgiveness, they will come to know the true love of God. While we are yet sinners (offenders), Christ died for us. God forgave us unconditionally, in the same way, we are to forgive others.

Maybe someone has hurt you so bad and you find it difficult to forgive, all you need do is pray for a forgiving heart. To some forgiveness might not be instant as it takes time to process, nevertheless, the need to forgive can't be over-emphasis. We live in a world where people will offend us virtually everyday.

We will be doing ourselves harm when we refuse to forgive and let go of the hurt done to us. We are not fools for forgiving, rather we are better for forgiving.

We are forgiven so that we can forgive. God has forgiven us, so also in like manner, we are to forgive others. We forgive not because we are weak, we forgive brcause it is the right thing to do. Forgiveness is an hallmark of the strong.

It's a beautiful day, it's a beautiful morning. Do have a blessed.

Verse 1 I want to  to live lord in the world of your Glory I want to live lord in the place where you are To stay away from the pressures & cares of this life. To stay away Lord from the ways of the world. (2*) Chorus I want to live oh Lord just right where you are. I want to stay oh Lord in your resting place Lead me away from things that keep me from you Separate me from the things Lord that hinders me. (3*) Verse 2 Oh Lord my heart is longing for your precious presence To receive Lord the light of your countenance So I can escape the darkness that covers the Earth So I can escape Lord the path of error (2*) Chorus I want to live oh Lord just right where you are. Made a Way: The Story Behind The Song

Made a way is a song written and sang by award winning artist Travis Greene in the year 2015. Many people knows the song but few actually know the story behind the song. The song was actually borne out of a personal testimony of Travis Greene. According to the artist, 'Made a Way' was written during an impossible situation. His pregnant wife’s water broke at 21 weeks, when pregnancy normally takes between 37-42 weeks. The doctors said the possibility of the baby’s survival is slim to none, and it was during this period when his wife was on bed rest for two months that he wrote the song. There was nothing else for them to hold on to but faith, and the good news is that as slim as the chance was, it didn’t break because faith held it together and today their baby boy is alive.  When Jesus was on His way to heal Jairus’s daughter and news came that things had gone from bad to worse, that the girl was dead. Jesus overheard and said, "Don't be upset. Just trust me

Lessons From the Sons of Sceva

....the evil spirit answered and said, Jesus I know, and Paul I know; but who are ye? - Acts 19:15 One funny incident that I read in the  Bible is about the seven sons of Sceva that attempted to use the Name of Jesus to cast out demons. The demons replied them that He knows Jesus and Paul, but who are they? They were given the beating of their life. (Acts 19:11-16) Were they wrong in using the Name of Jesus? No. But truth is they don't know nor understand that Name. They only want to use it selfishly just to get the results that Paul was getting. They thought it was a rocket science. Many at times we believers are like that; We live in sin , we disobey God and when we need something, we want to perform miracles, do signs and wonders in the Name of Jesus which we really belittle or don't value.  Someone once said during a plane turbulence, he saw unbelievers even shouting the name of Jesus. No wonder some folks suffered embarrassment like the sons of Sceva.  When
