Why Do We Go To Church?

We should not stop gathering together with other believers, as some of you are doing. Instead, we must continue to encourage each other even more as we see the day of the Lord coming. - Hebrews 10:25

Since when I was small, I love going to church. Mom always make sure we go to Church not just on Sundays but also during the week. Though these days, I only go to church in sundays. But do we really know why we go to Church? At least when I was small, I know I go to Church because I had to follow mom But of course I can't say that now.

Most people go to Church simply because it's Sunday and they are 'Christian by religion'. Far beyond being a Christian or because it's Sunday, going to church has a far more reaching impact on us.

The biblical text for today advised that we shouldn't forsake the gathering of the Brethren,  He was simply saying don't forsake church. Any gathering of the Brethren is church. The body of Christ is the church which also the brethren.

Church is not a mere social gathering though it can be part of it. A church is the coming together of the believers. Buildings, cathedrals, temples, synagogues are not church. The real church are the brethren who have come together to worship and exhort together. Church is not an individualistic thing.

The Church is not made of perfect people. If it were, then no need to gather. The Church is made of imperfect believers who have come to receive the perfection of Christ.

We go to Church because it's an avenue to strengthen and be strengthened.
We go to Church because we are not perfect as Christian
We go to Church to worship God with other Christians.
We go to Church to be taught of the word by the clergymen.
We go to Church because we wants to build each another up.
We go to Church to pray as one body.
We go to Church so as to grow in our spiritual life.

Next time you want to go to Church, as yourself "Why am I going to church?", (your answer might shocked you)

Good Morning and a Happy Sunday to you...👌

Made a Way: The Story Behind The Song

Made a way is a song written and sang by award winning artist Travis Greene in the year 2015. Many people knows the song but few actually know the story behind the song. The song was actually borne out of a personal testimony of Travis Greene. According to the artist, 'Made a Way' was written during an impossible situation. His pregnant wife’s water broke at 21 weeks, when pregnancy normally takes between 37-42 weeks. The doctors said the possibility of the baby’s survival is slim to none, and it was during this period when his wife was on bed rest for two months that he wrote the song. There was nothing else for them to hold on to but faith, and the good news is that as slim as the chance was, it didn’t break because faith held it together and today their baby boy is alive.  When Jesus was on His way to heal Jairus’s daughter and news came that things had gone from bad to worse, that the girl was dead. Jesus overheard and said, "Don't be upset. Just trust me...

Our status is changing, there's no more decline I'm on my way to better days.  My status is changing, there's no more decline I'm on my way to better days  Better days are in You, Jesus... Unlimited Thanksgiving

"Be joyful always; pray continually; give thanks in all circumstances, for this is God’s will for you in Christ Jesus." - 1 Thessalonians 5:16-18 Our thanksgiving should be unlimited. Even If we have thousands tongue to thank God with, it can never be enough. Looking all around you, you will always find a reason to thank God. This year might be so challenging for you, things might not have gone smoothly as you expected, nevertheless you have got to thank God. We do not thank God FOR difficult situation but we thank God IN difficult situation. Don't just be that person that only does thanksgiving when things are going on fine. Don't be that person that thank God seasonally. Don't be that person that thank God only when they have a 'big' testimony to share. Don't be that person that just thank God just because the preacher asked them to. God has been so good from ages past. No one else deserves our appreciation more than Him. You will be...
