Valentine's Day: Show-off or Show of Love?

Love must be sincere.... - Romans 12:9

February 14th is popularly called Valentine Day; a day where people 'show love' to their loved ones. I really don't know the true origin of Valentine'a as there are so many stories to that, but it is generally acceptable that it is good to show love.

My qualms with this are:
A show of Love shouldn't be limited to a particular day of the year. I mean you don't have to wait  February 14th to show Love.

Folks around the world buys gifts for their loved ones on valentine's day. In fact businesses do have record sales on Valentine's day. It is good to show love through gifts but you don't have to break the bank to buy a gift. Far more important than the gift is the motive and the heart behind the gift.

Unfortunately this days, show of Love have become something else, a guy buys a lady a lot of goodies to show his love for her and in return, the lady will offer her body also as a way of sexually pleasing him.

When you show love to someone, you don't do it expecting something in return. While it is good to reciprocate love, it shouldn't be forced or demanding.

Today is Valentine's day, show some love to your loved ones but far more importantly, show love everyday and everytime. Love is not a one off thing. Love should be our nature.

Whatever and whereever you are, there are people around you to whom you can show love to...

The world will be a better place if we all show love regardless of the time, place, people. Humanity is in dire need of love.

Good Morning to you and I want to say to you that 'I Love you.

Our status is changing, there's no more decline I'm on my way to better days.  My status is changing, there's no more decline I'm on my way to better days  Better days are in You, Jesus... My better life is in You, Jesus... Life's changing is in You, Jesus... My success is in You, Jesus... All I have to do is to look to You... Better days are with You... My f...

Made a Way: The Story Behind The Song

Made a way is a song written and sang by award winning artist Travis Greene in the year 2015. Many people knows the song but few actually know the story behind the song. The song was actually borne out of a personal testimony of Travis Greene. According to the artist, 'Made a Way' was written during an impossible situation. His pregnant wife’s water broke at 21 weeks, when pregnancy normally takes between 37-42 weeks. The doctors said the possibility of the baby’s survival is slim to none, and it was during this period when his wife was on bed rest for two months that he wrote the song. There was nothing else for them to hold on to but faith, and the good news is that as slim as the chance was, it didn’t break because faith held it together and today their baby boy is alive.  When Jesus was on His way to heal Jairus’s daughter and news came that things had gone from bad to worse, that the girl was dead. Jesus overheard and said, "Don't be upset. Just trust me...

If Men Were God

He sends  rain  on the just and on the unjust. - Matthew 5:44 It's raining as I type this post and I remember the words of Jesus in Matthew 5:45 where he talks about  God sending the rain on both the just and unjust. God won't because are a sinner or a bad personal withdraw the rain from Falling on your side. One special trait we are to emulate from God is that we should not discriminate. If men were God, the rain will be raining only on the good, the sun will be shinning only on the perfect. We humans readily discriminate, we isolate those we feel are not perfect or good. We see those who have sinned as been candidates of hell as if we haven't sinned before. One major problem of our society is discrimination. Even in church, we discriminate, we see that prostitute and we readily condemned her. We readily forget that as children of God, we don't just do good to good people, we are to do good to everybody. It doesn't matter how bad a person might be, you ...
