The Proverb Challenge: Day 27

The Proverb Challenge
Day 27

As a bird that wandereth from her nest, so is a man that wandereth from his place.
Proverbs 27:8 KJV

Today Thriving verse is a simple warning to spiritually drifters. King Solomon liken them (drifters) to a bird that wander away from her nest. They are restless, searching endlessly.

When a man drift away from God, he becomes vulnerable to attacks from the enemy.

It doesn’t just happen overnight, its slow moving.

Starts by not reading your bible. Not praying as much. Missing church because the game is on.

People don’t just wake up one day hooked on pornography it starts by looking at some Jezebel in an under wear ad, then renting a wrong movie then before you know it your on your way out.

Lot, Abraham nephew, relocated to a place beside Sodom, when he was to be resecued, he was resecued right inside Sodom. Most believers that drift away from God do not know they they are far from God until problems comes and they found out that they are very far away from God.

A man that wander away from his place, which is the presence of God, will become helpless. Calamity can struck anytime and they won't have anyone to call upon. A bird that flies very much abroad from place to place, whereby she is exposed to all the arts of fowlers, and to birds of prey.

Every man that leaves his place will also be exposed to evil world. A man's place is mean to be a place of protection, a place of provision, a place of solid rock.

People who won’t settle down, wandering hither and yon, are like restless birds, flitting to and fro.

He that dwell in the secret place of the Most High shall abides under the shadow of the Almighty. A man rightful place is in God. Any place outside God is not where he should be. You can be far away from God and enjoy life. Nope!

If you are far away from God and you are reading this, it's time for you to come home. Your place in God is still available and vacant for you. God loves you so much and He is ever willingly ready and available to welcome you back into His kingdom, which is where your place is.

MAIN POINT: A man that is far away from God is like a bird that is far away from its nest.

Music: I Want to Live (Download)

I have another favourite song from the stable of Dunamis Ministry led by Pastor Paul Eneche.  The song is titled I want to live where you are. The song blesses me so much and I am sure you will be blessed by it. Below is the song lyrics and also a link where you can download the song. Verse 1 I want to  to live lord in the world of your Glory I want to live lord in the place where you are To stay away from the pressures & cares of this life. To stay away Lord from the ways of the world. (2*) Chorus I want to live oh Lord just right where you are. I want to stay oh Lord in your resting place Lead me away from things that keep me from you Separate me from the things Lord that hinders me. (3*) Verse 2 Oh Lord my heart is longing for your precious presence To receive Lord the light of your countenance So I can escape the darkness that covers the Earth So I can escape Lord the path of error (2*) Chorus I want to live oh Lord just right where you are. I want to sta

Made a Way: The Story Behind The Song

Made a way is a song written and sang by award winning artist Travis Greene in the year 2015. Many people knows the song but few actually know the story behind the song. The song was actually borne out of a personal testimony of Travis Greene. According to the artist, 'Made a Way' was written during an impossible situation. His pregnant wife’s water broke at 21 weeks, when pregnancy normally takes between 37-42 weeks. The doctors said the possibility of the baby’s survival is slim to none, and it was during this period when his wife was on bed rest for two months that he wrote the song. There was nothing else for them to hold on to but faith, and the good news is that as slim as the chance was, it didn’t break because faith held it together and today their baby boy is alive.  When Jesus was on His way to heal Jairus’s daughter and news came that things had gone from bad to worse, that the girl was dead. Jesus overheard and said, "Don't be upset. Just trust me

Lessons From the Sons of Sceva

....the evil spirit answered and said, Jesus I know, and Paul I know; but who are ye? - Acts 19:15 One funny incident that I read in the  Bible is about the seven sons of Sceva that attempted to use the Name of Jesus to cast out demons. The demons replied them that He knows Jesus and Paul, but who are they? They were given the beating of their life. (Acts 19:11-16) Were they wrong in using the Name of Jesus? No. But truth is they don't know nor understand that Name. They only want to use it selfishly just to get the results that Paul was getting. They thought it was a rocket science. Many at times we believers are like that; We live in sin , we disobey God and when we need something, we want to perform miracles, do signs and wonders in the Name of Jesus which we really belittle or don't value.  Someone once said during a plane turbulence, he saw unbelievers even shouting the name of Jesus. No wonder some folks suffered embarrassment like the sons of Sceva.  When
