The Proverb Challenge: Day 6

Can a man take fire in his bosom, and his clothes not be burned?

Proverbs 6:27 KJV

The author asked a rhetoric question which is about LUST. The question implies a denial; he cannot escape burning. No more can he who burns in lust avoid destruction.

No one commit whoredom and doesn't get hurt. From Proverb Chapter 5, the writer has been emphasising on the need to abstain from fornication/adultery. It to be you of your Fortune. It kills you slowly, it takes away your dignity.

No man walks through fire and won't get hurt, likewise, no wide man goes into fornication / adultery and doesn't get harmed. A Wise man runs away from sexual sins. One of the things that brings about a man's downfall faster is fonication/adultery.

No one is immune to sexual temptation, don't toy with it. Only a foolish man will go into the fire edpecting his clothes not to be burnt.

The writer liken sexual sins to fire, it will surely burn no matter who you think you are.

The fire of sexual sins is great, it will reduces you to ashes physically, financially, materially, spiritually etc.

Main Point: Sexual Sins is a harmful and a dangerous fire.

Unlimited Thanksgiving

"Be joyful always; pray continually; give thanks in all circumstances, for this is God’s will for you in Christ Jesus." - 1 Thessalonians 5:16-18 Our thanksgiving should be unlimited. Even If we have thousands tongue to thank God with, it can never be enough. Looking all around you, you will always find a reason to thank God. This year might be so challenging for you, things might not have gone smoothly as you expected, nevertheless you have got to thank God.
