Therefore humble yourselves under the mighty hand of God, that He may exalt you in due time, - 1 Peter 5:6
Humility preserves peace and order in our societies; pride disturbs them. Be willing to take a low place - a place such as becomes you. Do not arrogate to yourself what does not belong to you; do not evince pride and haughtiness in your manner; do not exalt yourselves above others. To be humble doesn't mean you are stupid or introvert. To be humble means to be Modest.
Humility begins with a sense of subordination to God in Christ. “A disciple is not above his teacher, nor a slave above his master."
Humility knows it is fallible, and so considers criticism and learns from it. In the Lord’s eyes, true greatness does not come through worldly strength, power, or position. It comes through humility.
The proud make every man their adversary by pitting their intellects, opinions, works, wealth, talents, or any other worldly measuring device against others.”5 That is when we run into trouble. Delighting in being richer than our neighbors, more athletic than our friends, or better looking than others is being prideful. For example, when Saul heard Israelite women chant, “Saul hath slain his thousands, and David his ten thousands” (1 Samuel 18:7), Saul compared himself to David, and his feelings of inferiority led him on to works of wickedness.
A perfect example of humility is Jesus: Jesus spent His life in the service of others, without regard for personal fame or fortune. He taught the people this great truth: “Whosoever will be chief among you, let him be your servant” (Matthew 20:27).
Its another day, another opportunity, it's Tuesday. Remember Humility is a trait of the great folks in the kingdom. Say Yes To Humility.
Good Morning and do have a great Tuesday
