13 And when your herds and your flocks multiply, and your silver and your gold is multiplied, and all that you have is multiplied;
14 Then your heart be lifted up, and you forget the LORD your God, which brought thee forth out of the land of Egypt, from the house of bondage; - Deuteronomy 8:13-14
The whole of Deuteronomy Chapter 8 is what I will implore you to read. Moses was warning the people of Israel on the danger of forgetting God all because they are comfortable. Most times, folks only remember God when they are in problems; little wonders why they faced challenges most of their life. When you were nothing, God made you something. When you were sick, God healed you. When you were casted down, God lifted you up. In the concluding verses of that Chapter, Moses warn that those that forget God after all He has done for them will perish.
Apostle Paul also warn the Corinthians about this in 1 Corinthians 10:12 which says "Wherefore let him that thinks he stand take heed lest he fall."
Don't be full of yourself and your things that you forget God. Some folks got their healing and few months later, they are back to their vomit (sin). Evaluate yourself, Since you've gotten that Job, since you've married your spouse, since you've gotten your kids, since you've become wealthy, How has your service to God be? Be honest with your self, we give all kind of excuse for not going to church, not fasting, not praying. But when the storms of life comes,we quickly start doing all that as if we want to bribe God. God is not mocked. You were once vibrant in His vineyard but after your life changes for the better, you become passive in things of God. Amend your ways. God in the good times is God in the Bad Times.
It's has been a wonderful week, isn't it? Remember He/She that forgets God is ready to perish.
Good Morning and have a lovely Saturday!
