God is a Spirit: and they that worship him must worship him in spirit and in truth. - John 4:24
I attend a church that women do cover the hairs although some new model of the church has dump that trend and some women worship God with their hair uncovered.
1 Corinthians 11:5 says 'But every woman that prayeth or prophesieth with her head uncovered dishonoureth her head: for that is even all one as if she were shaven.'
That above verse is what the those that favour a woman covering her hair use.
Those that favour a woman not covering her hair use the below verse:
1 Corinthians 11:15 says 'But if a woman have long hair, it is a glory to her: for her hair is given her for a covering.'
The bone of contention is should a woman cover her hair or not. I will refer to verse 16 of 1 Corinthians which says 'But if any man seem to be contentious, we have no such custom, neither the churches of God.'
We don't. We don't have to be argumentative about all this, as Paul will made it clear it is not Church-like for us to argue. A woman covering her hair is a symbolic and cultural sign of respect, nothing more to it. It has no spiritual undertone. These are not weighty matters. As Apostle Paul said, we don't need to argue over this neither should it be a doctrine. Those that worship God must worship Him in Spirit and in Truth (Head Covering was not mention here).
Let us not be too concerned about the outward than the inward. See the outward matter but the inward matter more. I will continue on this tomorrow.
Good Morning to you and have a wonderful Thursday.
