First of all, then, I urge that supplications, prayers, intercessions, and thanksgivings be made for all people, for kings and all who are in high positions, that we may lead a peaceful and quiet life, godly and dignified in every way.
- 1 Timothy 2:1-2
Yesterday I was complaining (and even ranting) about the government and their policies. I sometimes wonder why Elected leaders can't resign when they can't do what they are elected to do. But something struck me, as a follower and citizen, we have a duty to support them with our prayers. Political Leadership could be more complex than you think. The President, Governors, Mayors, Ministers etc all need our prayers if they are to succeed.
When you wake up in the morning, remember to pray for your head of state in your quiet times. Ask God to strengthen them. Prayer changes things, Quit complaining about about how bad the economy is and start praying for those in charge of the affairs of the economy. We tend to complain more than we pray.
I am not saying we should not speak out against bad governance, I am saying we should pray for our political leaders, their decision has lasting effect on us.
It's another great start of a great week, I pray that the Almighty God will guide and protect you throughout.
Good Morning and have a good week!
